Another big lad getting some new shoes today.

“Casper” is one of a few heavy French Comtois breed I shoe, his shoes are handmade out of 17” 1 1/4 x 1/2” steel, a little bit of a bevel on the outside of his shoes helps with his conformation 👌🏻

It’s good to show some of the trickier feet on the round. This is Strawbs, I have shod her for an over a year now and believe it or not this is a lot less cracks then she came with. We go back and forwards with progress on the cracks mainly down to weather change, but they have not caused her an issue.

My lovely wife’s big Labrador of a horse getting some leather pads fitted up.

These Con Cuero leather pads will help absorb some extra concussion from the quick weather change, the ground has not been bothering him but being so big it’s nice to add a bit of prevention.

Lovely new mare to me today, I didn’t know any history but she was obviously due for shoeing and had also lost a right fore.

There was not a lot of foot to play with, so today’s shoeing as always was about restoring some basics, get the correct shape in the shoe, and leave as much dorsal wall as I can to help restore some needed solar depth and build strength 🐎

The handsome and rather large maxi cob Mr Amigo getting a fresh set of shoes today.

He was originally barefoot but due to some conformation issues his vet wanted some front shoes on to offer some needed support to balance the limb. He has been working well with his front shoes, today he had his first pair of hinds on 💪🏻

All shoes are hand forged and customised for his feet🐎
