Midge
Pedigree Whippet

Lovely girl Midge owned by Chris first started her schooling with us in early 2025, showing plenty of promise from the outset. She then took some time out after whelping a litter of pups, before returning to us in spring this year. Since coming back, Midge has done everything right, taking each step in her stride, and on Saturday she completed her first schooling trial in company - a big milestone in her progress.

Rue The Day
Pedigree Whippet

Owned by Louise, who joined Kings Park later in the season last year, Rue settled into racing life straight away. In fact, she took absolutely no schooling at all, doing everything perfectly first time of asking!
Rue has been super consistent in the handicap and quickly made her mark, putting together an impressive run of back-to-back wins during last season. She’s also enjoyed travelling away from the club to race at other tracks, with one of her standout performances coming earlier this year at Old Hall, where she picked up a lovely win in the pedigree racing at the BWRA Tyrone Open.
A talented and reliable racer with plenty more to come from her yet!

Kira
Lupine

Kira absolutely loves her racing, and she’s never shy about letting everyone know it. Impatient in the traps, her excited howls can be heard right from the top of the track. Friendly and sociable, she enjoys meeting the other dogs at the club and thrives on an active lifestyle away from racing too. At home, she lives happily alongside Gemma’s other wolf dogs. Now 4 years old, Kira became a mum for the first time last year, proudly rearing a litter of 9 healthy pups.

Non Pedigree Whippet
Thin White Duke x Elms Three (Ghd)

Bluey is Corinne’s second non pedigree whippet since originally joining us 7 years ago with her Lurchers, terrier and pedigree whippets.
Bluey is absolutely stunning and showed some very impressive early racing at the club last year. She was looking fantastic, but has spent the start of this year recovering from her first season and having some careful reschooling.
Now edging closer to that important 12-week post-season mark, we’re confident it won’t be long before Bluey starts making her mark on the track again.
Patience always pays off and we can’t wait to see what’s next for this lovely girl.

Non Pedigree Whippet
Midnight Dazzler x Screen Dancer (GHD).

Wendy joined Dan and his family in the winter of 2024. Already schooled to race, she spent her first few months settling into home life, resting after a season, and gradually building up her race fitness.
She went on to enjoy a brilliant summer, with the standout achievement being a place in the prestigious Scottish Derby Final.
Wendy has built quite the fan club at Kings Park. Calm, affectionate, and lovable away from racing, she transforms the moment she steps onto the field, with her focus firmly fixed on the job at hand.
Now carrying a little extra weight which appears to suit her well, Wendy has been looking good at the club in recent weeks and we look forward to seeing what the summer has in store for her.

Kevin
Lurcher
Kevin was adopted from a rescue as a puppy, so his exact breeding remains a bit of a mystery but he’s a fabulous boy.
Kevin and his owner Ray first attended the club for our Intro to Lure Day and he hasn’t looked back since. A complete natural, sailing through his schooling with enthusiasm and determination.
Now regularly competing in the handicap, Kevin is already beginning to make his mark, picking up some lovely wins in the last few weeks and we look forward to seeing him continue to progress over the summer.

Fawkes
Saluki x Greyhound
Fawkes is another member of Kathryn’s gang and what a character he is. As a puppy he was shy and reserved, but he’s grown into an absolute clown with a huge personality and an even bigger presence.
Standing at 30”tts and weighing in at 80lb, Fawkes is an absolute monster - all legs and chaos and then he thunders up the track like a runaway racehorse.
Fawkes’ favourite thing to do is charging up and down the beach for miles in hot pursuit of seagulls, often launching himself straight into the sea and swimming off in the belief they might eventually land within reach.
Big, goofy and very entertaining - everyone loves Fawkes.
