This year I started my own little business to share my passion of love for animals and to use it to help people look after their own in times when needed. I wasn’t sure how it’d go and that I’d really have anyone come to me for my help. But here we are at the end of the year which I started my business in late March and have gotten to meet 14 different loving pets and spend various amount of time with them all, gotten to know them, been trusted with them and grown a little business all on my own.
This I really didn’t expect at all.
I want to thank everyone who trusted me with their pets and came to me on their own or through recommendations of other people, it really means a lot to me. To those who came back to me and also passed me along to others after meeting me. I can’t thank you all enough. As well to all the lovely animals I got to meet and who trusted me as well to take care of them away from their family and allow their-self to come out to me, to play, to feel comfortable and safe with me to be their selfs and do their usual routine with someone different and new, thank you. This part of it is what has been really rewarding.

I wish everyone a happy new year and all the best.

I hope to see more of you in the new year, maybe see some familiar faces and lots more new.

Thank you.

Meet Lexi & Dakota!

Over Christmas I got to meet some new faces and look after these lovely two.

Dakota is a 18 month German shepherd. (She’s big already!) This girl is still learning about life and learning her commands but she is doing well so far and I believe she is very willing to please you but really does want attention. She’s surely learning that she is a big girl and can’t always go charging around. But after shortly meeting, she does know how to settle and to listen to you.

Lexi is a 12 year older border collie. (Now she really doesn’t look her age, does she?) This girl is super sweet! Your typical collie up for games of fetch with balls and sticks but waiting for your commands and attention from you. Honestly, I fell in love with this girl I think. She’s super sweet and also just so well behaved.

I got the pleasure of walking these two over Christmas and doing some check in’s also which was lovely to spend the time with them both and get to know them. They both surely have a lot of character to them and it was lovely to see them so friendly and trusting of me. It means a lot when meeting new dogs to be so willing with me and ready to listen.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas with their pets!

Last Saturday with Max.

We went out on a walk together then I also stayed with him for a couple of hours to give him some company and give him his dinner. I always enjoy getting to spend some inside time with this boy. He’s come so far since getting to know me. So it’s always nice to chill with him inside and see his confidence grown around me.

Remember little August?

Well this boy has done some growing! Look at how big he is now. I got to see him again after some time for a check in. To let him out, play, have his lunch and have some company.

August has definitely grown and learnt so much since the last time I’ve seen him. He’s learnt many basic tricks but also some fun ones too. He’s gotten loads better with going outside to the loo and listening to his commands. He still loves his cuddles and fuss too which is always a plus and I much enjoy having a cuddle with him as you can see.

Was a pleasure to see this boy again and hopefully I’ll see him another time soon.

Meet Thomas & Breeze!

A couple weekends ago I had the pleasure of looking after these two lovely horses. An absolute joy to work with these two briefly and spend time with them.

Looking after these two involved mucking out, skipping, re filling hay-nets, breakfast & dinner, turning them out and of course giving them much attention and care. I enjoyed all of it and giving me some different faces and animals to take care of.

Horses have been a big part of my life growing up and now. As I’m always spending time with them, worked with them in previous jobs, helped people out on the side with theirs and I actually have one of my own. So getting to work with others and be trusted to take care of such big animals who are always fun to look after but you don’t always know how your day will go with them. But I always enjoy it and have fun learning about them everyday.

Any inquiries with looking after your horses (check in’s or in house sittings) please feel free to drop me a message. As I’d love to help with others if possible.

Some recent photos of Max & Rupert these past few weeks from our walks together.

Lots of running about, getting muddy in this winter weather, silly faces & screams along with much fuss and attention of course!
