How is Denzil still available?! ✨

This sweet, affectionate boy is full of love and just waiting for his forever home 🏡Sadly, Denzil has often been overlooked, but those who meet him quickly see what a loyal and loving companion he truly is 🥰

Denzil greets everyone with a wagging tail and a big heart. While he can be strong on the lead at times, with the right guidance and consistency, he thrives. Because of this, we’re looking for an adopter with previous dog ownership experience to help continue his training and build his confidence.

Update: the owners of this rabbit have now been contacted.

We’re heartbroken to share that a deceased rabbit was brought into the centre yesterday. He is an unneutered, non-microchipped male with shaved ears, perhaps due to previous vet treatment (pictured) 🐰

He was found around 8am on Linwood Lane, Leicester.

At this time, we don’t know who his owners are. If you have any information or believe he may be your pet, please get in touch with us.

Let’s help give this little one some closure 🕊️

Adorable little Stevie, now Billy, was quickly snapped up from the centre! His new family says he’s settling in beautifully 🏡 and his training is going fantastically!
“He’s a lovely little boy,” they told us 🥰

We’ll be seeing sweet Billy again in a few months at Barney & Bella Vet 🏥 for his neutering appointment.

Don't forget to keep your cats cool too - Hot Weather Safety Tips 🐾

Cats love the sun, but they can overheat too, here’s how to keep them safe:

✅ Always provide fresh, cool water
✅ Keep curtains closed & windows secure
✅ Use fans or cooling mats indoors
☁️ Give shaded spots for outdoor cats
🧴 Apply pet-safe sunscreen to pale ears/noses if outside
⚠️ Signs of heatstroke: lethargy, panting, drooling, vomiting - call your vet immediately

Socialisation is SO important for our resident cats 🐱 It helps them build trust, gain confidence, and get ready to settle into their forever homes🏡

Our amazing volunteers spend time each day giving the cats love, attention, and playtime. Plus, potential adopters get to meet the cats in our cosy family room - a safe, home-like space where special bonds begin 💞

Why is interaction so important? Because it helps our cats feel secure around new people, reduces stress, and gives us insight into their unique personalities, making it easier to find their perfect match ✨

Look at Salem now! 🏍️🐾

Three years ago, Salem (originally named Moss) was found in a heartbreaking state - soaking wet, freezing cold, and barely breathing by the side of the road. His eyes were closed, he was unresponsive, and no one knew if he would survive. 💔

Two amazing nurses rushed him to safety, where the vet team immediately got to work. Salem was placed on an IV drip and carefully warmed in an incubator, receiving round-the-clock care and love.

Against the odds, he pulled through - stronger and more spirited with each passing day. 💪🐱

Today, Salem lives life to the fullest with one of our staff members from Woodside. His days are now filled with fuss, fun, and a lot of adventure... including the occasional static motorbike ride! 🐾
