Update time..I have just had 3 mths off chemo and was experiencing pain i had an urgent review which showed the mass in my abdomen has grown 1cm a week since we stopped treatment,I am now on a tablet form of chemo my last chance. I do not want to know my prognosis,I know many of you will disagree I do not need to stress over a time frame I am already emotionally crushed , I didd say to my consultant 10yrs would be nice to which he said you haven't got 10yrs which shattered me. I have been put forward to a meeting to see if I am able to have surgery in Basingstoke they are top surgeons there in mesothelioma. I will keep fighting x

As promised an update after last chemo cycle
The doctor hass confirmed that the tumour has shrunk another 30%which takes it to approx 6cm!!!! We started at 19cm!
So now I get a scan in 3 mths and if nothing has changed I will be scanned again in another 3mth after that.
All good news x

Well what a year ! This time last year I had been diagnosed with Mesothelioma (asbestos cancer),I had 2 operation within 7 days and thought I had 6 to 18mths to live (in googled it as had no idea what meso was)
Today I am poorly as I am recovering from my 6th and final round of chemo, I have a scan tonight and I will see my consultant next week to see how small the mass has got, it had shrunk by half after 3 cycles!!! Hoping chemo has put it to sleep for a few years. But I am here i am relatively well.

Update! After swopping to Chemo and having 3 cycles I feel alot better than I did on immunotherapy. My recent CT Scan shows tumour has shrunk my HALF!!!! IVE GOT THIS !!!

Hey!! I know I've not been here for a while but I'm here to update you all !!! I've not had the best of timea with immunotherapy I've been in hospital 3x since March all atleast 10 days or more stays. Mass has grown 3cm ,lung is filling up with fluid around every 6 weeks which makes me breathless. So yesterday we decided to swop from immunotherapy to Chemotherapy.
I am OK apart from the side effects. Let's see if chemo shrinks the bitch!!!!! Thank you all ###x

Hi Alaskan Sky Family can we help this guy, some of you may have already met him as he was coming here for a while a lovely boy.
Achilles (Kiki) Age 7.

Through no fault of his own is looking for a new home. Kiki is a lovely boy who spends most of his days sleeping. He is incredibly good with children and very food orientated. Unfortunately as his owners personal circumstances are changing, it means he’s having to be left alone for longer periods of time. This is becoming a bit much for Kiki and unfortunately he is becoming destructive when left for periods of time.

Well i didn't expect when I came into A&E fri to still be in and not looking at coming out till fri possibly. But immunotherapy side effects have decided this is where I am. 🙄

Hey guys hope your all well, I've had 2nd session of immunotherapy 1st went well, slight side effects however had a reaction with 2nd had to have meds to counteract it for half hour then have the rest of immunotherapy over an hour instead of half an hour. But all good so far.

Alaskan Sky Family
It breaks my heart but as of 1st Jan 25 I will be closing Alaskan Sky 😭
I have been diagnosed with Mesothelioma in the right lung and abdomen this is an incurable
cancer caused by asbestos( please if you Google it use Mesothelioma uk )
There is treatment to help slow/stop the growth of it ,I will be starting Immunotherapy the 1st week of Jan 25.
Prognosis is how long is a piece of string 🤔
I will always be here if you are struggling ,advice grooming etc I am sorry to let you all down

Hey just a quick update ,I am waiting for a final diagnosis, my ovaries and appendix are fine the mass is on the surface of my bowel. Why this sounds great news ,it's slightly more complicated and I do have a incurable cancer,it is treatable once I have all the info on weds I will post and let you all know ###
