Today I received the news that one of the lovely dogs I look after, Kobi, has sadly crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈🐾
No one prepares you for this part of being a dog sitter. You love and care for these dogs as if they were your own, and although Kobe wasn't my dog, losing him feels like I've lost one of my own. The bond you build with them is so special, and saying goodbye is incredibly hard.
Kobi wasn't just a dog I cared for – he became part of my little dog family. Every walk, every wag of his tail, every cuddle, and every moment spent with him brought so much joy. I feel incredibly lucky to have been a small part of his life.
My heart goes out to his wonderful family. There are no words that can take away the heartbreak of losing such a loyal friend, but I hope they know just how loved Kobi was by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Run free, beautiful boy. Chase all the balls, enjoy endless treats, and make lots of new friends over the rainbow bridge. Thank you for all the love, laughter, and memories you gave me. You'll always have a very special place in my heart.
