Hi 👋🏻 my names Bianca. I had started BBK9 a few years ago and took a step away for many reasons. I started BBK9 to help troubled dogs and their frustrated owners to ensure longevity in their relationship. I think dogs are truly amazing and feel ever person deserves to see the possibilities a dog can offer. I am looking to get back up and running so watch this space for give aways and training tips! ❌ The puppy on the left is being taught to focus on people and dogs in the environment. This can create unrealistic long term expectations and is risky, given you can’t control these important experiences.

✔️ The puppy on the right is being taught neutrality, neither excessive excitement nor fear, around people, dogs and other things in the environment. This builds a good foundation for future training and further appropriate controlled experiences.

This dog is just amazing! We have been working with him for a while now and have been taking it step by step allowing him to really understand what’s asked of him and letting him slowly adjust. Turns out he’s a very anxious boy who’s just looking for structure in his life. We are almost there but it doesn’t mean we can ever stop showing him it is ok 👌

😩 It can be frustrating if we don't see the progress that we want with our dogs, especially when we regularly go to training. But are we really putting in the time outside of our sessions?

👩‍🏫 As trainers, we aim to provide owners and their dogs with tailored guidance to enable them to work through their training goals successfully away from the training field.
But as we spend maybe an hour a week or less with them, it is down to owners to really put in the graft and consistently implement the training steps in order to progress.

🐕 So as dog owners we need to remember that everyday is a training day for our dogs no matter what we're doing, and it is us who can have the most impact on training progress.
Even just a couple of 5 minute training sessions each day, or while the kettle boils, will have an impact!
