We have a choice of good sized, well lit, modern stables with a range of facilities to rival any other yard for many miles around.

Situated on the outskirts of the market town of Leek and as the name suggests the yard looks out over the end of the Pennine range locally known as the Roaches. We have over 45 acres of grazing divided into paddocks of a suitable size to accommodate all our horses and ponies in a organised manner according to their needs and temperaments. There is a considerable amount of hacking out on quiet road

s within a three to four mile radius of the yard and many of our current owners go out in small groups on a daily basis. There are secure tack rooms and a wash/trim room

All the stables are a minimum of 12' x 12' some of them are bigger. All have automatic water troughs, wide outwardly opening doors and are well lit

Most of the stables are in two large, well ventilated enclosed blocks, although we have seven stables with an outward facing situation for owners who like this open aspect. The yard stands on a 5 acre site, which includes a small 5 CL caravan park, situated along our drive. We have a large car park adequate for parking of owners vehicles and provides ample horsebox and trailer storage. Off the car park is situated a 60 metre by 35 metre sand ménage with a full set of jumps. A 40 metre by 25-metre woodchip ménage for flat work, which as just been re-surfaced, and a woodchip lunging ring. We have a small indoor sand school 25 metre by 12 metre full lit, suitable for pony lessons or lunging larger horses. We have a 4 horse, hydraulic horse walker which is ideal for general exercise or for bringing an injured or sick horse back up to strength before bringing them back into full time work. At the end of April we will have four stables available.

DIY livery in a large 12 x 12 stable, with light and waterer is £160 per calendar month. Part & Full Livery is possible by private arrangement.

We offer 15% discounts for second and subsequent stables.

Most of our clients are DIY livery, but if you need help, there are always people on the yard who will lend a hand. We have a very friendly group of liveries with a very active Facebook group page.

We are currently still on winter turnout, but summer turnout normally starts mid - to late May and can be 24/7 if that is your wish.

We run two herds - mares and geldings, which seems to work well for us.

We ask for a returnable deposit of £50, livery is paid a month in advance and all consumables - fodder (hay and haylage) and bedding (straw and straw pellets), which we ask you to buy off us, is charged a month in arrears.

We have two outdoor schools, one sand - Floodlit, one wood chip, a lunging ring and a hydraulic horse walker, also plenty of box and trailer parking.

🚨🐴 **SUMMER INCOMING** 🐴🚨

This weekend the clocks go forward 1 hour… ⏰➡️

Unfortunately, the horses have NOT agreed to this change.

Please be advised:
• Breakfast will still be expected at “horse o’clock” no matter how tired you are!
• You will be judged harshly if you are late 🐎👀
• Extra dramatic whinnying may occur!
• Hay will be demanded immediately upon your arrival, regardless of what your watch says.

On the bright side… lighter evenings mean more riding, happier humans, happier horses and that one step closer to 24/7 turnout!

Today we’re celebrating all the amazing horse mums out there — the early mornings, late nights, muddy boots, hay in your hair, and endless love you give to your four-legged family members. 🐴💕

Whether you're the one filling haynets, organising vet visits, scrubbing water buckets, or simply giving the best cuddles in the stable, your dedication never goes unnoticed.
