Man's Best friend was formed in 2017 by ex serviceman and education sector worker Ross. Ross has always had a passion for animals but especially dogs. After having a dog walker of his own, Ross decided he wanted to spend more time with his own dog so decided to set his own business up, he hasn't looked back! Within 6 months Ross needed more help so Claire joined him, even during all the lockdowns
and uncertainty we have all faced Ross has continually adapted the business model to ensure the business survives. In June 2020 after the first lockdown Ross again needed more help so Tina joined us. The team now offer three group walks per day and a companion service for dogs that are left alone for too long for just a walk to suffice, but mainly for those working from home now. These dogs love having their owners at home all day but can't understand why they aren't playing with them all day! haha So the companion service allows you the time to get on with work knowing your dog is having a great time with their friends. This is by far the most popular service we provide and rarely has vacancies. Ross' sidekick is Bosco the working Cocker who works with Ross helping train and set good standards for the other doggies. A favourite at Towerwood Vets, Amanda is happy to recommended us. We also recommend all of our clients to use Towerwood Vets. We are first aid trained for dogs, DBS cleared and fully insured. We carry a first Aid kit for dogs in each vehicle. Your dog will be picked up in a custom built van that was designed by Ross to provide the best possible care whilst travelling for the dogs. Custom rattle proof cages are very large, have padded floors for comfort, water bowls and fully lockable. A roof mounted electric fan will keep your dog cool at all times plus the dividing wall from cab to rear isn't metal, its a vented wall so the air conditioning from the cab will flow through, plus this allows inspection of the dogs at all times. The van also have the private licence plate R8O MBF. (Ross 1980 Mans Best Friend) Let out one by one your dogs walk will be videoed and photos added to their very own album on our page. All of our new dogs start a two week trial period which will allow us to assess their suitability. Dogs should be treated as one of the family so their safety is our number one concern so they will not be allowed to join our pack if they don't bond with the others. We are known for our honesty which our clients love. Your dogs needs are the main priority for us so we are more than happy to offer advice on their care and training.
