In just under 8 weeks’ time, I’ll be running the Leeds Marathon — something I always said I would never do. But here I am, doing it in the memory of my amazing husband, Kieran.

Kieran was just 25 when he was diagnosed with Cancer of the Unknown Primary in early 2024.

From the moment he was diagnosed, he faced every day with incredible strength and courage, always trying to be strong for the people he loved most. Despite everything he went through, he never lost his kindness, humour, or the way he lit up a room.

Sadly, Kieran lost his battle on 6th October 2024 at the age of just 26.

Anyone who knew Kieran knows how special he was. He truly was a shining light in so many lives, and I want to do something that honours his strength and keeps his memory alive.

I’m raising money for A Shining Light, an incredible charity that works alongside Teenage Cancer Trust. The charity is dedicated to educating and raising awareness of cancer in young people, while also supporting them to improve their physical and mental health during and after treatment.

They also work with the Castle Hill Teenage Cancer ward in Hull, where Kieran spent the majority of his treatment before later moving to Leeds General Infirmary. Knowing that some of the money raised will directly support the ward where Kieran was cared for makes this cause even more meaningful to me.

If you are able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much. Your support will help other young people facing cancer get the care, support and opportunities they deserve.

✨ That’s a wrap for 2025! ✨

I’m officially finished for the year and I just want to say the biggest thank you to each and every one of you for your continued support throughout 2025. It truly means more than you know.

Thank you so much for all the cards, gifts, and treats — I’ve been absolutely spoilt and I’m so grateful 🥰

I honestly can’t believe that 3 years ago I was getting ready to leave my job in property to start my grooming training… where has that time gone?! What started as a big leap of faith has turned into something I’m so proud of, and I couldn’t have done it without you all.

Whether you’ve been with me since the very beginning or have recently joined the pack, thank you for trusting me with your precious puppas and for supporting my small business — it never goes unnoticed 🤍🐶

Wishing you and your beautiful puppas a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year. I can’t wait to see you all in 2026!

📢 Holiday Notice 🐾

Just a quick update to let all my lovely clients know that I will be away from 28th–30th November and 6th–10th December. During these dates, messages will not be replied to, but I’ll get back to you as soon as I return.

My last working day before Christmas will be 23rd December, and I’ll be back to work on 7th January.

🐾 Keep Your Dog’s Coat Healthy This Winter! ❄️🛁

As the weather is now colder and wetter, your furry friend’s coat needs some extra care and attention! 🐶💕

Here are some top grooming tips to keep your pup’s coat in top condition this season:

✨ 1. Brush regularly
Damp walks, muddy puddles, and cosy jumpers can all cause tangles and matting — especially in longer or double coats.
Give your dog a good brush a few times a week (or daily for long-haired breeds) to keep their coat smooth and healthy. Regular brushing also spreads natural oils that keep the coat shiny and skin healthy!

🧴 2. Wash wisely
Winter weather often means more baths, but over-washing can strip essential oils from your dog’s coat. Aim for every 4–6 weeks, using a gentle, dog-safe shampoo. Between washes, a quick rinse or paw wipe is usually enough to keep them fresh.

💨 3. Dry thoroughly
Always make sure your dog is fully dry after a bath or a wet walk — damp fur can lead to skin irritation and that dreaded “doggy” smell. A towel dry followed by a gentle blow-dry works wonders!

🧥 4. Jumpers & coats — brush after wearing!
We all love seeing our pups snuggled up in their winter jumpers, but did you know those cosy layers can cause friction and lead to knots, especially around the armpits and neck?
Make sure to give your dog a quick brush after taking their jumper off to prevent matting and keep their coat tangle-free.

🐕 5. Keep up with grooming appointments!
Regular professional grooming keeps your dog’s coat manageable, healthy, and comfortable all season long — plus it’s the perfect time to check their nails, ears, and skin too!

Your dog will thank you with a wagging tail and a soft, shiny coat all winter long! 💖

So please make sure to be on time for drop-offs and pick-ups — appointments are back-to-back, and it’s a very long day on these paws!

🐶✨ Puppy Grooming 101: Start Them Young! ✨🐶

I’ve had a lot of puppies for their first visits recently so thought I’d do a little recap on the importance of starting your puppa’s young with a professional groomer 🥰

Did you know the earlier you start grooming your puppy, the happier and more confident they’ll be as adults? 💕

Grooming isn’t just about looking cute (though we love those fluffy faces!) — it’s about building comfort, trust, and good habits that last a lifetime.

Here’s what every new puppy parent should know 👇

🌟 The Stages of Puppy Grooming:
🍼 8–12 weeks: Gentle introductions — brushing, nail touching, ear handling (this can all be done at home)

🐾 12–16 weeks: First tidy-up! Light trim around eyes, paws, and sanitary areas, plus a gentle bath and blow-dry.

🐩 4–6 months: Full “puppy groom” — includes bathing, drying, brushing, nail trim, and shaping the coat (depending on breed).

🧼 How Often Should You Groom?

•Brushing: A few times a week for most breeds (daily for long or curly coats).

•Bathing: Every 4–6 weeks or as needed.

•Professional Groom: Every 6–8 weeks (minimum) to maintain coat health and prevent matting.
