Heartbreaking.. 😭
These 4 nestling blackbirds were brought to us still in their nest, after the tree was chopped down and the parents never returned 😞

While gardening, if you find a nest, it is against the law to disturb the nest if it is active (including eggs) and has chicks in. Please stop any work and return when the birds have fledged.

Walking your dog over the next few days and evening in public places.

Always keep them on a lead at all times as many can be sadly lost this time of year due to fireworks 🧨

If you are using our secure fields makesure you use the gated access so no chance of escape due to firework noise.

We are very lucky we have minimal noise from fireworks in our area however some reactive dogs can go into blind panic and run off if access isn’t closed so please be aware.

Fireworks can cause severe stress, injury, and even death to horses. Sudden bangs and flashes often trigger panic, leading to serious accidents 🔥

UK Firework Laws 🧨
* It's illegal to set off fireworks between 11 pm and 7 am, except; Bonfire Night until midnight & New Year's Eve, Diwali, Chinese New Year until 1 am.
* Fireworks must not be set off in public places such as streets or parks.
* Only adults (18+) can buy or use fireworks
* Noise limit: consumer fireworks must not exceed 120 decibels

🎇Around Horses & Livestock 🐴
Under the Animal Welfare Act 2006, it's an offence to cause unnecessary suffering to an animal!
* Setting fireworks off near stables, fields, or riding areas will cause unnecessary suffering and could lead to prosecution.
* Always check for animals nearby before lighting fireworks.
* Inform local yards, owners, and neighbours well in advance of any planned displays - please carefully consider and respect any concerns raised by owners of horses or livestock!

Think before you let off fireworks near animals you could be breaking the law!!

Either buy silent fireworks or visit organised displays and please leave all dogs at home there is no need to take them out !!

We have 4 amazing retiring Police dogs currently undergoing assessments for rehoming, and we need to find them their life after service guardians.

For many of our dogs they are more than ready to hang up their harnesses bit for some they need a little safe space to transition so need a low stimulate environment with a knowledgeable hooman who can teach them (with our support) the way of the hooman world out here.

💥special homes needed💥

Every one of our homes is special, and every retiree is super special, but some of our dogs need a little something something extra and will often be waiting some time.

Some dogs will struggle exiting the forces and need that hooman or hoomans that are willing to work that little extra more to help them adjust to our hooman world

We always have a handful of fur pals waiting in forces kennels all over the UK waiting for their pawever himes, fortunately many have amazing kennels staff that will care for them but for those who have had to all of a sudden stop work for varying reasons it's a truly hard time

We have a few that could most definitely do with a home and family sooner
We understand it's that time of year even that things slow ot also gets crazy busy and the dog welfare world takes a massive hit, but we are here for you 247 for this journey

With budgets being cut, we have an ever growing cue of amazing souls, so please let's find them homes

Homes and fosters needed

We don't always advertise our dogs that come up for rehome for varying reasons, but they are very much there. We match the applications to the dogs and work with what they need to thrive in throttle new lives

Our dogs range from 7 months old failed police dogs all the way to 13 year old military veterans, all needing a little something different
