These two beauties 🫶 came in this week for their pamper session, and whilst being brushed daily by their loving owner, I still managed to remove masses of dead undercoat hair 😅

So let’s talk about the importance of deshedding…

It’s that time of year again - the weather warms up, the grass dries out, and those problem plants appear … causing problems for our furry friends.

I cannot stress enough, how important it is to check your pup over for grass seeds and similar. Regular grooming helps stay on top of things, and at the first sign of an health issue, please see your vet 🐾

Dear customers, with the temperatures soaring at the moment, there is the chance that your dog will not be completely dry following their groom, as only safe towel drying will take place.

A heated dog dryer during extreme heat poses a severe risk of heatstroke and can be fatal for dogs.

Why It Is Dangerous
- No Sweat Glands: Dogs do not sweat through their skin to cool down.
- Pant Dependency: They rely on panting to release trapped body heat.
- Rapid Overheating: Blowing warm or hot air forces their core temperature up instantly.
- Humidity Trap: Drying heavy coats traps moisture, creating a dangerous sauna effect.

As a groomer, the welfare of the dog always comes first, prioritising comfort, health and happiness.
