Hello! Something different today!

My family have a wee farm shop selling top quality beef 🥩 just along the road from us!
Just back from holiday and need to get some shopping in? Stop off on way home. It is exactly 2 miles from my door to their door. There is also my sister in law’s farm shop which is 3 miles from my door to hers. She sells veg.

So mince and tatties, spaghetti bolognaise, steak and chips all just round the corner without having to visit the supermarkets. You will get you fresh milk too.

If you would like a couple things set aside you can order and prepay so you just need to swing in past and collect it on way home.

You can even pick up a cheeky bone for the dog from them too for a charitable donation. (They don’t always have in stock though as very popular) but I might keep a few in my freezer so please just ask. 🤩

I have some major news to bring to you all.

Louise’s Farm Kitchen are no longer doing our butchery work. This has obviously been a tough one as we all loved the quality work Gordon has done for us. But we are hoping that we will be able to start stocking our fridges with some of Louise's Farm Kitchen produce that we have all grown to love again.

I would like to thank Louise, Ahren and Gordon for all their hard work and patience with us and to the team that made the 1000’s of burgers for us over the summer. I know I wasn’t the most popular at times but they did an amazing job!!

We now have a new butcher who we are excited about working with. Kirsty has set up a brand new butchery just two miles along the road from Drumsleed which is going to reduce the food miles. There will be slight changes but we are going to do our best to keep everything similar to before. I have asked Kirsty to introduce herself……..

⭐ PRICE INCREASE ⭐

I’m so sorry to do this folks, but we will be increasing our boarding prices. Unfortunately the costs are still rising for us. It also seems that for what we offer, we are still one of the cheaper ones out there. Employee rates increase every year and the staff are invaluable, I could not continue without them and along with other rising costs unfortunately this is the only way forward for us 😔
The prices will increase as follows :

1 dog (per calendar day) -£33
2 dogs sharing (per calendar day) -£45
Each additional dog sharing £10 (per calendar day)
We still offer a drop off and collection service at 1.50 per mile
We also offer a grooming service so please contact for further details.

The price increase will take effect from Monday
15th Sept 2025

All bookings that are already made will still be charged at the rate they are booked at and not the new rate.
If you wish to book at the original rate then get booking now!!

Happy Sunday everyone!!

Just a wee bit of background info…

Most of you will know that this is a family run business and that my children are heavily involved in the care of the dogs that board with us. So it it’s super important that you make us aware if your dogs are not ok with kids, they are older and sensible around dogs, they are not toddlers that will pull ears and tails.
Ellie (9) particularly loves to help walk dogs and play with them, Riley (11) will come out at times.
We will still accept dogs even if they cannot be around kids so please do let us know.

On another note, I work every day answering calls and texts and emails. On the days that I am not working (this means I am not in the kennels with the dogs) I am Usually somewhere with kids doing their activities or running for myself.
Ellie does highland dancing and Riley is a kick-boxer. Both are now attending competitions and have done so well this summer with Ellie getting a couple firsts at Keith show the other week and Riley taking home a silver medal today from Glasgow at his first competition.
So if I do not answer the phone, I may be busy with them, I will return your call so please just leave a message. I don’t take days off as such, I just work my family life around work and my work around my family life. Emails and requests I generally get on to in the evenings so please be patient, there are loads to get through on a daily basis and I can only answer so many per day.

SPAM EMAILS

we have been made aware that due to the rising number of spam emails that people receive now and scams, Microsoft are doing their best to block as many as they possibly can from getting to our inboxes. While this is great as we don’t have all the rubbish coming in, as a business it’s not so great. What it is doing is blocking emails from getting through altogether so not even shoving them to our junk folder. Ao if you think we are being rude and not replying, please don’t assume the worst. We are very busy and it can take a wee minute (I mean a day or 5) to reply. I’m also out with dogs daily, please send a wee nudge if I don’t respond in a few days. Obviously if urgent just call. I’m not deliberately ignoring emails. Sometimes the odd ones slips past unnoticed but I generally will reply eventually if I see it. 🤩
