🐾🌊🩷WET AND WILD WEEKENDS 🩷🌊🐾

The weather might’ve been determined to dampen our plans this weekend… but honestly, when you’re a Woof & Wander pup, you’re going to end up soggy anyway — so we just leaned right into it! 😅💦

Finn, Kiera, Chester, Quinn, Margot, and Skye were absolutely living their best wet-and-wild lives. From splashing through puddles to full-commitment swims, they made sure the rain didn’t stand a chance at spoiling the fun. 🌧️➡️🌊🐕

Im not sure Finn was up for getting so soaked, but anything Uncle Chester did, he had to follow… which meant some seriously soggy swims in the lake! 🤣

Everyone came home very soggy, very muddy and very happy — just how we like it. Rain will never hold us back from an adventure! 💛✨

🌟🌊🐶 SAND PIT SEASON! 🐶🌊🌟

Once upon a time, our tyres were just… tyres. Then winter arrived, the ball-pool water pit went in to hibernation and the tyres suddenly stepped up like, “Right then, our moment.”💁🏻‍♀️

So they’ve had a little makeover and are now officially sand pits — and the dogs have reacted as if we’ve given them the keys to their own personal theme park. 🛞⛱️🐶
And yes… it is very sandy. Yes… I will be finding sand in my socks until at least April. But honestly? Completely worth it.🥹🧡

Here’s why the dogs are loving it (and why enrichment like this matters):

✨Digging helps them burn off energy (and big feelings!)
✨Sniffing in the sand helps reduce stress
✨Foraging turns their brains on in the best way
✨New textures and environments boost confidence
✨They get to express natural instincts — which makes happier, more balanced pups.

It’s messy, chaotic, joyful, and genuinely one of the best winter swaps we’ve ever made. Sandy snouts, wiggly bodies, and tired paws all round. 😂🐾🤍

OUR 15-WEEK-OLD DAYCARE HEARTBREAKER! 🐾✨

Say hello to Oswald (aka Ozzy) – our adorable new Golden Retriever pup who is settling into Woof & Wander Daycare life like an absolute pro! At 15 weeks old, he’s growing fast, looking less like a potato and more like the very handsome retriever he’s destined to be 💛

Here are 15 Daycare Facts About Ozzy:

1. He’s 15 weeks old and already ruling daycare with charm.
2. He has a very special best friend – Winnie the cockapoo, who may or may not become his future girlfriend 💕
3. He is super cute, super funny, and super friendly – a triple threat.
4. He is mastering the art of falling asleep anywhere – and the positions are priceless. 💤
5. His zoomies are elite-level for his age.
6. He’s starting to look less potato, more retriever every single day. 🥔
7. Treats are his love language.
8. He’s already learning play etiquette from the big dogs. 🐕
9. He has strong feelings about footwear…
10. Specifically, he chews my Crocs every chance he gets. 👣
11. So yes, he clearly has a personal vendetta against Crocs.
12. He’s getting braver and more confident at daycare every visit. 🥹
13. He gives excellent snuggles during nap time.
14. His tail is a full-time happiness machine.
15. He is basically the golden version of sunshine. ☀️

Whether your pup wants to race around, practice recall, build confidence, train without distractions, or simply have a joyful romp in the countryside – this space is made for wagging tails and big smiles! 😍

🌟❄️🌸 ADVENTURE WALKS ❄️🌸🌟

When we’re not at daycare and we working from home, we LOVE taking the pack out and about for proper adventures – it’s honestly one of the best parts of what we do! 🐾💛

Today had EVERYTHING: snow, mud, icy puddles, confused faces, excited zoomies, and sticks so big I’m pretty sure a few dogs thought they’d just won the lottery 🤣🌲

There is nothing better than watching their little ears perk up and seeing that pure wonder on their faces as they take in new smells, new sights, and new terrain. They were sniffing like their lives depended on it – elite detective mode activated 👃🕵️‍♂️🐶

A change of environment is just the BEST enrichment – it keeps their brains buzzing, their legs moving, and their hearts happy. And watching them experience something new never, ever gets old.

We totally lost track of time and suddenly it had been nearly two hours of exploring in the most beautiful, crisp, sunny, snowy Cornish morning ❄️🌞 – and honestly, we’d do it again tomorrow in a heartbeat!
Now we’ve got a gang who are muddy, wet, exhausted, happy, fulfilled, and currently snoring loudly… which means: mission accomplished ✔️💛🐾

❄️⛄️❄️SNOW ❄️⛄️❄️

The weather has well and truly turned, and the snow is here! I leave from Newquay early morning, and drive back in the evening and that means driving in the dark, cold, icy and often dangerous conditions, with a van full of dogs who depend on me to get them home safely. 🩷
I do my absolute best to be here every single day, but I want to be open and honest – there will be times this winter when:

✨ Daycare may have to close for the day,
✨ Or I may need to close earlier than usual.

I don’t make these decisions lightly, and I fully understand it may not always be ideal for those working. However, I have to put safety first – for your dogs, for myself, and for anyone travelling with me.🙏

For example, just this morning I passed three accidents on the way in, and I’ll be leaving earlier today so that I can get back to Newquay before the temperature drops and the ice freezes again. It’s simply too risky to be out on steep, rural roads in these conditions.

Please also remember – just because the weather may look bright and sunny where you are, 10 minutes up the road it might be heavy snow. Right now it’s lovely in Launceston, but across Bodmin Moor it’s white-out conditions, and that’s the route I have to take later!

I promise I’ll always do everything I can to avoid disruption, and these situations will be kept to an absolute minimum. But I really appreciate your understanding when they do happen.

🌲🫐🧡 BRAMBLE 🧡🫐🌲

🐾 A Day in the Life of Bramble 🐾
 Hi, I’m Bramble! 9 years young, cuddle specialist, food enthusiast, and certified good girl.

Here’s what a day in the life looks like for a classy girl like me:

⏰ Wake up → immediate cuddles (10/10). 🍗 Breakfast → best moment of the day. 🐕‍🦺 On-lead walk → I’ve got a heart condition, so staying on the lead keeps my excitement levels safe… but I still sniff EVERYTHING. Literally every blade of grass 😅.  🎓 Spend the day being polite, adorable, and hoping for another snack.

Cuddles: 100/10 Food: Infinity/10 Good behaviour: Obviously 11/10

Life might be on the lead, but my heart (the slightly overexcitable one) is full every day. 💕🐾

🌟🎤 WWE – WRESTLE WOOF LIVE: ROUND 4 — TODDLER TAKEDOWN EDITION! 🎤🌟

“Welcome back, ladies, gentlemen, and teeny tiny toe-beans, to WrestleWoof LIVE — where the pups are tiny, the moves are wobbly, and the chaos is absolutely adorable!” 🐾💥💕

In the squishy, sunshiney corner, it’s Baby Ozzy — the 15-week-old golden retriever with baby bounce, floppy feet, and the concentration span of a raisin! 🌞🐶✨

Aaaaand in the curly-chaos corner, it’s Winnie — the six-month-old cockapoo powered entirely by zoomies and questionable decisions! ⚡🐩💗

✨Round 1:
Ozzy toddles forward with a gentle gum nibble, while Winnie responds with a quick boop to the snoot. Baby moves only — soft, silly, and slightly confused. 💛💗

✨Round 2:
Winnie tries a little hop-pounce, misses, spins, and sits on her own paw. Ozzy flops over in solidarity. Dramatic. Wobbly. Iconic. 😆🐾

✨Round 3:
Both pups go for the classic toddler tumble — flopping into a fluffy cuddle pile. No winners, just wiggles. 👶🐶👶🐶

The ref (still me) calls it: A DOUBLE BABY DRAW! 🥇🐾
The crowd (also me) cheers wildly as the tiny titans trot off for snacks and nap time. 🍼🦴💤

🌟 SOME OF THE IMPORTANT BITS 🌟

Hey lovely humans! As many of you know, Woof and Wander has been bursting at the seams with waggy tails lately — which is absolutely wonderful… but it does mean we need to get a teeny bit stricter with bookings so everything runs smoothly. 💛🐶

✨Ad Hoc Days

If you need ad hoc days for the following week, I need to know by Friday afternoon at the very latest.
I’m now full every single day, and I’m finding myself holding spaces for pups that then don’t come — which means I’ve had to turn other doggos away. And honestly, that breaks my heart (and theirs!). So from now on:

📅 Ad hoc requests in by Friday afternoon = secured spot
⏳ Anything after Friday = that space may already be gone!

✨ Weekend Drop-Off & Pick-Up Times

Weekend timings for boarding dogs stay exactly the same as weekdays:

⏰ Drop-off: 7:30am – 10am
⏰ Pick-up: Any time before 6pm

Arrival and collection times will need to be confirmed when booking.
If pick-up is after 6pm, the evening overnight rate is automatically added.

Thank you all for understanding and for keeping Woof & Wander running happily, smoothly, and full of joyful paws. Your pups are my world — and good organisation keeps the chaos cute, not chaotic. 🐾💕
