โ ๏ธ Incident โ ๏ธ
It brings us great sadness to have to report an incident that occurred today.
This incident resulted in 2 of our dogs being kicked (respective owners have been informed) as well as myself and Hannah being verbally assaulted.
At approximately 10.35am, we were walking round a corner at Halvana woodlands, when we were accosted by a man walking with his dalmatian. Three of our dogs went over to say hello to his dog, albeit without invitation. They were not aggressive, nor plentiful, just friendly.
We called them back, but the man decided it better to kick 2 of them.
Admittedly, when I saw this I shouted "what the # are you doing?!"
What then followed, was what can only be described, as an absolute barrage of verbal abuse. He frightened the living hell out of us and we ended up back at our vans shaking. The things he said were beyond vile and a police incident report is being filed.
No-one is perfect and our dogs aren't always "ideal" but we didn't deserve the abuse today. We keep our dogs under control, but sometimes they just get a bit excited when they see others. It happens & we apologised.
Today was actually scary, and I'm grateful to have not been on my own.
I have now made the decision to invest in a body-cam to wear for all walks. I never thought it would come to this, but if I had been on my own today, I feel it would have lead me to stop this altogether.
Thank you for reading.
