Most pets will develop a lump on or under the skin at some point in their life, and some pets may develop several.
It is impossible to know for certain what a lump is just by looking at it. Many different types of tumour can look and feel identical, especially
those that sit under the skin. However, making sure you feel your pet every few months will help you to understand what is normal, so you
can spot any lumps and bumps early on.
When checking your pet take things slow, and stop if they seem unduly concerned at any point

A cat has escaped the carrier in Lake, he escaped around Kimbo restaurant area/car park alley way to Lake high street. He is a neutered male all black, 1yr 7 months. He normally lives in Shanklin. The owner is looking for him but if people can keep an eye out for a new black cat in her area, he will likely be scared.

Any sightings please contact Pet Doctors on 01983 522804.

👏Congratulations to Tara 👏

Our long standing clients will know Tara from over the years as a receptionist and head receptionist before embarking on her journey as a patient care assistant in 2022.

Tara has completed her Animal Care & Welfare Assistant (Veterinary Care Support) Level 2 Apprenticeship with a DISTINCTION!

This qualification requires 18 months of portfolio completion covering; Legislation, medication, husbandry, behaviour, anatomy and physiology, reproduction, the human and animal bond, life stages and infection control. This is finalised with a practical assessment and professional discussion.

Tara is a wonderful team mate and advocate for our patients, and we are so incredibly proud of her achievement.
