💗🐾 It’s Flea Season – Please Read 🐾💗
In the past week alone, I’ve had 2 dogs come in with fleas 😔
As much as I love caring for your pups, when a flea-infested dog comes into the van it has a huge impact on my business. I have to cancel the rest of my day’s appointments, set off a flea bomb, wait 3 hours, then thoroughly hoover and bleach every inch of the van, and wash all towels & soft furnishings. It’s a massive loss of time and income 💗
Please, please check your dogs before your appointment.
If you do find fleas, just message me to reschedule – it’s far more manageable than having to fumigate the van afterwards 💗
✨ How to check your dog for fleas:
💗 Run a fine-tooth comb through your dog’s coat (especially around the neck, tail base, and belly)
💗 Look for tiny black specks (flea dirt) or actual small, fast-moving insects
💗 Place any specks on a damp tissue – if it turns reddish-brown, it’s flea dirt
💗 Watch for excessive scratching, biting, or restlessness
💗 Check bedding and favourite resting spots too
✨ If your dog does have fleas:
💗 Use a prescription-strength flea treatment from your vet (shop products are often not strong enough)
💗 Treat all pets in the household
💗 Wash all bedding on a hot cycle
💗 Hoover thoroughly and regularly
💗 Use a home flea treatment/fumigation to fully break the cycle
Thank you so much for understanding and helping me keep the van clean, safe, and comfortable for every dog 💗🐶
I really appreciate your support 💗
