What a difference a month can make! 🐾
Just a few weeks ago, Costa, a 7-year-old Japanese Akita, needed full support for every movement after suffering from IVDD. Completely paralysed, he was unable to use any of his limbs, and each step required us to lift, guide and place his legs for him.
Today, Costa only needs support to help keep his body at the water’s surface while he does all the stepping himself. His progress has been incredible, and we couldn’t be prouder of how hard he’s worked.
This is a huge accomplishment, especially for such a large dog. We can’t wait for the day he comes skipping down our path for his session—and at the rate he’s going, we’re sure that day is coming soon. ❤️
