Come have some fun with me on Friday up at the Dog Confidence barn near to Nantwich learning more about Heelwork To Music. 🐾👯

Suitable for anyone - from teams just wanting to give it a go for the first time, to those competing up to Novice level.

The venue is fab!! Non-slip rubber floor and little sections for your dog to work with you 👌🏼

The fabulous Jen from Be Brilliant Dogs is travelling to us on Friday (15th) to deliver workshops. We have ONE SPOT left in the 1-3pm workshop. The theme is Heelwork to Music but any team would gain so much from attending, as Jen is brilliant at developing team work, motivation and engagement. There is no compulsory dancing or costumes if that is putting you off ! You and your dog will just have a ton of fun, so why not give it a try ?

Only 3 dogs in the group, divided by barriers. Dogs need to be comfortable working with other dogs in the barn.

East and I went down to EYE 2 EYE Dogs yesterday, to hire the fab barn. A fab space to work on some of his freestyle moves ❤️

We finished up our latest Heelwork To Music class tonight, looking at a few new moves and touching on sequencing some of them together.

The teams have been a joy to watch! Well done guys!! I've loved watching you guys develop and grow!!

More dancing opportunities coming in June and through July 🐾👯 so watch this space!

Worked on some "stay there and source it" puzzles for Finn this morning on locked up hides, whilst Beth did some weird handler stuff to distract him ❤️ what a boy!

I do what I do, because I love it. It's absolutely not true that if you do something you love, you'll never work a day in your life. In my experience, I do what I love and I think about it - you, your dogs, the searches, the hides, the challenges, the competitions, the results, the feedback, the badges - all the damn time. And I love it. ❤️

We’re all just sports scentwork trainers using the layered stages & beefy challenges to structure progression for clients.

"Running NNA trials is an actual joy. Yes it's hard work, but watching your teams succeed and fly is a pleasure like no other.

The searches are fascinating, with a variety of venues, set ups and teams coming to compete. There is so much to enjoy. Each trial, each dog, each stage is something different and I know my teams love the variety and the fresh challenges.

Going out to compete isn't about winning, yes medals are nice, but testing your training under competition is a great way to benchmark. Need more proofing, more skills, need to bolster those foundations? Competition is a marker point. Teams then come back and work harder to achieve more.

Coaching my teams from beginners to (soon to be) Elite Stage is one of my proudest achievements. I don't think anyone would regret stepping into the world of NNA!!"

Back to work after two weeks holiday! Today I ran a small but perfectly awesome skills workshop looking at working over toys and food in the search area. Four really lovely teams came and walked away with mountain of homework 🤣

Really proud of my Intermediate Class that finished up on Wednesday.

Blackberry, Hubble (not in the video), Marshall and Kylie all looking fantastic! Such huge leaps forward in their understanding of searching new spaces, knocking odour and sticking to it ❤️

I've totally lost track of posting, which is a bit naff! So lots of updates to come! This weekend, on Saturday, I spent the day with Paw Performance at their training show in Oswestry. A training show is a Heelwork To Music environment and set up, but you can take toys and treats into the ring. It's a fantastic way to dip your toe into the sport, without competing! AND it continues to be a useful training environment for dogs at every stage of their competitive journey.

Here is East and I, sporting our Antinol UK hoodie because he wouldn't be able to move so beautifully without such great support 💪

I'm looking into the potential of running a few training shows myself, possibly towards autumn / winter. So if you'd like to get involved or know more, please shout!

Everytime I do a scent work beginners class, I think "this is the best group I've ever had" and then the next one comes in and I think "no wait, this is the best group I've ever had".

On Saturday, I spent a wonderful day teaching a Heelwork To Music workshop all about ring-readiness. We looked at warm up, traveling into the ring, start moves and more.

I didn't get video evidence of all the dogs (I'm useless!) but it was such a nice, fun day with such awesome dogs.

Well done everyone!! ❤️
