Physiotherapy is about so much more than recovery.

It can benefit dogs recovering from surgery, managing hip or elbow dysplasia, cruciate ligament injuries, IVDD, neurological conditions, muscle strains, and many other mobility issues.

Following a thorough assessment, we create a personalised treatment plan using targeted exercises and hands-on therapies to improve strength, mobility, balance, and comfort.

Whether your dog is recovering from an injury or simply isn't moving as well as they used to, physiotherapy can help them return to doing what they love.

Our goal is simple: to help your dog move with greater strength, confidence, and comfort.

🐾 Rehab Tip #1: Nail Length Matters

Did you know that your dog's nails can affect more than just their appearance?

When nails become too long, they can change the way your dog stands and walks. This can reduce grip, affect balance, alter paw placement and even place extra strain on joints and muscles.

Keeping your dog's nails at a healthy length is a simple way to help support comfortable movement, especially for senior dogs, those recovering from injury, or dogs living with arthritis.

Take a look at your dog's paws today... are their nails touching the floor when they're standing?

If your dog needs a little help keeping their nails in check, we also offer nail clipping appointments. Whether they're a regular visitor or it's their first time, we're here to help keep those paws healthy and comfortable.

Follow along for more Rehab Tips to help keep your dog moving comfortably and confidently.

A special thankyou to some of our fantastic local rescues:

🐾 Blue Cross Rehoming – Hitchin
🐾 Luna Animal Rescue – Hitchin
🐾 RSPCA – Potters Bar
🐾 Mutts in Distress – Bishop's Stortford
🐾 National Animal Welfare Trust – Watford

Let's celebrate every rescue dog's journey and the people who make it possible.

Let’s Talk Laser & PEMF Therapy ✨

Did you know we offer more than just hydrotherapy to support your dog’s recovery? 🐾

Laser therapy and PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy are both non-invasive treatments designed to support the body’s natural healing processes.

💙 Laser therapy uses targeted light energy to help support tissue repair, reduce inflammation and improve comfort.

💙 PEMF therapy uses electromagnetic fields to help support circulation, relaxation and overall wellbeing.

Both treatments can be used alongside rehabilitation plans for a variety of conditions, including recovery after injury or surgery, joint issues, muscle tension and ongoing mobility concerns.

Every dog is unique, so treatments are always tailored to your dog’s individual needs. 🐶

reasons why massage therapy improves your dog's mobility...

Massage therapy isn't just a luxury, it's a valuable part of canine rehabilitation that can help dogs recovering from injury, managing arthritis, or simply feeling the effects of ageing.

Here's why:

🤲 1. Relieves muscle tension
Massage helps release tight, overworked muscles, reducing discomfort and helping your dog move more freely.

💪 2. Improves soft tissue flexibility
By increasing the elasticity of muscles and connective tissues, massage can help improve movement and reduce the risk of further strain.

🐾 3. Reduces tightness
Targeted massage techniques help ease muscle tightness and stiffness, making everyday activities like walking, climbing stairs, and getting up from rest more comfortable.

✨ 4. Improves range of motion
Healthy muscles and flexible soft tissues allow joints to move more naturally, supporting better mobility and overall function.

Massage therapy is gentle, relaxing, and tailored to your dog's individual needs. Whether they're recovering from an injury, living with osteoarthritis, or simply need support to stay comfortable, massage can play an important role in their rehabilitation journey.

📩 Think your dog could benefit from massage therapy? Get in touch, we'd be happy to discuss how we can help.

Has your dog ever had a massage? Or is it something you've been curious about? Let us know in the comments! 👇

🐾 Meet Dolly! 🩵

Dolly came to us for hydrotherapy following a diagnosis of T3–L3 myelopathy, a condition affecting the spinal cord that can make it difficult to coordinate and use the back legs.
Through a personalised hydrotherapy programme, Dolly has been working hard to build her strength, improve her mobility and maintain her confidence. Every session is tailored to her individual needs, helping her move comfortably while making rehabilitation a positive experience.
But if you ask Dolly why she loves coming to see us… we’re pretty sure it’s all because of the liver paste! 🥩😋
We’re so proud of the progress she’s making and can’t wait to see what she achieves next. Keep up the amazing work, Dolly! 💙
