We would like to wish one of our dedicated van drivers, Steve Murphy, a very happy and healthy retirement as he retires today after completing 15 years of service at Trilanco earlier this year!
Steve says: Many, many thanks to all my workmates, past and present, who have made my time at Trilanco a happy one!

Meet Katie's turkey Tony AKA the Accidental Turkey
Katie is our Category Manager and she has worked at Trilanco since March 2025!
Katie says: Tony wasn’t part of the plan. We traded some hatching eggs with our neighbours with the understanding that we’d receive a turkey in return, you know, the kind that comes plucked, stuffed, and oven-ready for Christmas dinner. Instead, a few hours later, we were handed a live, fully feathered, highly emotional turkey. And just like that, Tony the ASBO Turkey entered our lives.
Tony spent most of his early days trying to escape the farm and run back to his beloved girlfriend down the road. His antics were so legendary he even made it into a comedian’s skit, the punchline being a dramatic diversion past our sleepy country lane… because there was a rogue turkey legging it down the road.
These days, Tony has settled down and taken up a more noble role as full-time hen bodyguard. However, he’s still not the sharpest feather in the flock. Every evening he proudly roosts on his perch — and every morning we have to manually lift him down, because gravity and problem-solving aren’t his strong suits. It makes pet sitting very awkward.
Tony is chaotic, ridiculous, and somehow the heart of the farm. We love him. (Even if he’d rather be somewhere else)

Pet of the Month | August 2025
Meet Rowena’s Cat, George!
Rowena is one of our Credit Controllers and she has worked at Trilanco for 8 years!
Rowena says: “George will be turning 10 this December. Born at a cat rescue where I used to volunteer, he quite literally came into my life the moment he came into the world. The second I laid eyes on him, I just knew — he was meant to be part of our family.
He absolutely thrives this time of year — spring and summer are his seasons. There’s nothing he loves more than lounging outdoors, basking in the sunshine, watching the world go by, or patrolling the garden like it’s his own personal kingdom (which, to be fair, it is).
George also fancies himself a bit of a hunter. He’s generous too — often bringing me “presents” in the form of small, uninvited guests. Luckily, I’ve outsmarted his generosity with the help of Live Catch Mouse Traps, which are dotted around the house. They’ve honestly been a lifesaver — they work brilliantly and give me peace of mind knowing I can safely catch and release his little gifts back into the garden where they belong.
Like many cat owners will tell you, I’m completely at his mercy. George has me wrapped around his little paw — and truthfully, I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Trilanco is a specialist equine, pet and agricultural products wholesaler. We are based in Wesham, Lancashire, and deliver throughout the UK and Ireland and export worldwide.
Our story began in 1979 when the company started trading as an agricultural products wholesaler. As the demand for equine and pet products increased, Trilanco evolved to support the needs of our customers. We now offer over 250 quality brands from leading manufacturers from across the world and have more than 20,000 products in our current catalogue, including products exclusive to Trilanco, and new lines are being added all the time.
We have a team of Area Sales Managers based throughout the UK and Ireland, our own fleet of vans for nationwide delivery, an in-house sales support team, and a team dedicated to supporting international customers.
In January 2017, we moved into our new and purpose-built premises in Lancashire. This £7 million business investment, including a 110,000 sq ft warehouse occupying more than six acres of land, plus new systems and processes, allow for quicker picking and even faster despatch.
We support retailers and distributors with monthly newsletters, exclusive monthly offers and promotions, and our team includes R-SQPs (Suitably Qualified Persons) who can advise on medicines for farm animals, equine and companion animals.
