Pet-Pro is a new companion animal service run by Sandra Taylor, a registered veterinary nurse with fifteen years’ experience in the private animal health sector and twenty-seven years’ expertise training Rottweilers. elong illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, and epilepsy, to many other chronic and acute onset conditions. Other services include the design and implementation of weight loss and exercise regimes to prevent illnesses such as arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, and injuries including cruciate ligament rupture. Pet-Pro’s basic first aid instruction and workshops cover simple procedures from bandaging and the checking of vital signs and rudimentary emergency measures. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse Sandra Taylor is subject to the RCVS Code of Professional Conduct for Veterinary Nurses and can act under (Schedule 3 Amendment) Order 2002 of the Veterinary Surgeons act 1966. Within this code Pet-Pro takes instruction on medicating animals in care from the Veterinary Surgeon dispensing the medication; a written agreement from the client is also required for insurance purposes. Pet-Pro’s remit does not include diagnosis or prescription of medication or surgical treatment. These services fall within the remit of a veterinary surgeon.
