NO DOG EVER DIED DROM MISSING A WALK BUT DOGS DO DIE FROM HEATSTROKE
Even on overcast days it can be too much.
It's simply not worth the risk.
Keep them in the shade
Make sure there's plenty of fresh drinking water
Use a cooling coat/mat/or even a wet towel for them to lie on
Get them a paddling pool
Walk them early morning or late evening when the weather is at its coolest.

It is set to be a very hot today and this will continue over the next few days.
Please ensure you look after your pets in this heat. Have a look at our posters for more information on what you can do to ensure your pets remain comfortable and safe during this hot weather and the signs of heatstroke.
If you are able to do so as well, please provide water in sheltered areas in your garden for wildlife to drink from and top up those bird baths.
