Please note we are now permanently closed at Highland Horse Fun Kingussie from the end of October 2025 after 74 years of operating in the pony trekking business.
Ruaridh Ormiston has stepped back to start retirement and sadly the girls did not wish to continue on their own.
We will still take horses for holiday livery / horse b and b and we will still be breeding a few Highland Ponies but the pony trekking and lessons etc are now finished.
All the working ponies are away on winter loan till at least Easter and once they start to arrive back we will put them up for sale.
Sadly the end of an era and can I thank everybody who has helped out and been involved over all these years with the Ormiston Highlands. We all have some very happy memories 🙂

Good News 🙂 We have finally got all the ground works done around the new riding arena down where the MCC CL ( Motor Caravanners Club 5 Van Certified Location ) and where our Wild Camping is for smaller tents. I still have to sow the grass on the new flat grass areas and it will take a month or more to grow before it can be camped on but we still have limited areas for small tents and plenty of room for Motorhomes.
If you have your own toilets you are welcome to call me and request to stay down beside the beach on the River Spey where we allow our VIP guests to stay.
It is great we can now say goodbye to the big heap of gravel that made the place look like a building site ! This was supposed to have been done at the start of May but my neighbour Simon Leslie with the digger has been so busy he only just managed to find time to do it now at the start of August - but at least it is done now 🙂 We look forward to seeing you here 🙂
