Not seen that one before - anyone recognise where it was taken - I cannot see on my phone in the sun ? My girls would have a hairy canary if they had to trek that many - still going strong 73 years - same ponies ! Ponies belonging to the Ormiston family at in July 1956. In addition to being the oldest breeder of Highland Ponies in Scotland, the family began a successful pony trekking business in the early 1950s

Our Highland Pony Demo and Talk at Lochaber Agricultural Society Show at Fort William on behalf of the Highland Pony Society as part of the continued Centenary Year Celebrations. Saturday 26th August 2023 - The talk and parade was the first 20 mins of the Demo followed by a 10 mins Muscial Carriage Drive with a Team of 4 x Highland Ponies which I have also uploaded to Youtube as a seperate video 🙂

Note: Apologies in the video I mentioned the Scots Greys Regiment when I should have mentioned the Scottish Horse - a yeomanary cavalry TA division raised in late 1900 by the Marquis of Tullibardine (The Duke of Atholl)

Come and join us at Grantown Show on Thursday 10th August to showcase the Highland Pony Breed in it's Centenary year 🙂 Come and be part of our 30 mins Main Ring Celebration of 100 years during the show afternoon - The Strathspey Farmers Club have kindly extended their horse entries to the end of July if you want to come and be part of it - lets make it a year to remember 🙂
Please let myself or Becca Cameron know if you can join us - it will take part around 1:30pm in the afternoon or just after 🙂
We also hope to do the same at Lochaber Show (Fort William) on Sat 29th August 🙂
