Something I heard on the Radio last week has really played on my mind & I’d like to share so others are aware as this is something a lot of us do including me but putting cat & dog hair out for the birds is having a devastating effect on new fledglings.
Apparently it’s killing off the babies due to the Flea treatments we use. This is present in the hair whether it’s tablet form or pipette.
Therefore the babies are dying as their nests are poisoned by it.
… so I now won’t be putting any out. Please don’t put the hair out if your animal has been treated for fleas 🙏. Their numbers are hugely declining according to the study simply because of something so simple that none of us would have been aware of. 😔
