🐾 Meet D4 Dog Training & Walking – Have a Go Scentwork! 🐾

We're delighted to welcome D4 Dog Training & Walking to Paws in the Pasture, where they'll be offering visitors the chance to have a go at scentwork with their dogs.

Scentwork is all about encouraging dogs to use their incredible noses to do what comes naturally to them – searching, finding information, and enjoying a rewarding job they love. It's a brilliant activity that helps build confidence, focus, and strengthens the bond between dog and handler.

One of the best things about scentwork is that it can be adapted for almost every dog. Whether your dog is small or large, energetic or nervous, young or old, scentwork provides mental enrichment and enjoyment at a level that suits them.

If you've ever wondered what your dog is capable of when they put their nose to work, be sure to stop by and have a go with the team from D4 Dog Training & Walking. It's a fun and rewarding experience for both dogs and their humans!

🐾 Paws in the Pasture at Tickton Farm 🐾

We’re delighted that Yorkshire Hoopers Club will be joining us at Paws in the Pasture on Saturday 13th, offering Have a Go Hoopers! Come and discover this fantastic activity for you and your dog!

Hoopers is a fun, low-impact dog sport where dogs are guided around a flowing course of gentle obstacles. It’s designed to be inclusive for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and abilities – and for handlers too, including those with limited mobility. As you progress, the goal is to handle your dog at distance from designated areas, building real teamwork and communication.

Not only is Hoopers great fun, it’s also brilliant for boosting your dog’s confidence and strengthening the bond between you. It provides both mental stimulation and physical exercise – a win-win for happy, healthy dogs!

Sessions will be led by Claire, a Canine Hoopers UK accredited instructor. Beginner training takes place in local secure fields, with more advanced sessions held at Bishop Burton College. There are also regular CHUK competitions throughout the year in the local area for those who want to take it further 🐶💙

We are excited to confirm that one of our fantastic “Have a Go” activities at Paws in the Pasture will be Rally with K9 Stars Rally School! 🐾

Rally is a fun Royal Kennel Club dog sport where dogs and handlers work together to navigate a course with different exercises — a bit like an obedience obstacle course! Suitable for all experience levels, Rally provides a great opportunity for you and your dog to bond, whilst showcasing your skills.

Best of all, Rally is low impact and open to dogs of all breeds and abilities, making it the perfect activity to come along and try for fun.
