The weather is getting warmer and BBQ season is upon us, it's crucial to be aware of foods that can be toxic or harmful to dogs and cats.

Always supervise your dog around the barbecue: Make sure they can't reach the grill or any food scraps.
Keep a safe distance from the barbecue: Smoke from the grill can irritate a dog's airways.
If you suspect your dog has ingested a toxic substance, contact your veterinarian immediately: Early intervention can be crucial.

We are still seeing people walking dogs out in the midday sun 🥵 please consider how hot it is for your dogs ... you are wearing a vest top & shorts and your dog is wear fur 😪

Dear Mum and Dad,

Let me stay home. It's too hot for me to walk and run next to you. But because I am a loyal dog, I often go beyond my limits. So I walk and run beside you, standing still if I have to.

And feel my paws burn.

I'm looking at you for a moment, but you do not understand. Because in a little over 5 minutes we're at the cool puddle, right?

But those little 5 minutes can be fatal to me. Because I sweat through my paws, and in this heat I just cannot get rid of the sweat. My whole body is boiling, but I keep going.

And then I end up on the tarmac. In the heat and in the sun. With my tongue out of my mouth and my eyes flashing in the sun.

My paws are burning, my
tongue is dry and my head is pounding in the heat that my body cannot get rid of…

Instead, let me stay at home where I can enjoy the sun, with a large bowl of cool water, somewhere in the shade. And best of all like in a cool area with grass.

Don't forget the clocks go forward Sunday 1am.
Start shifting your dog's walk times by 10-15 minutes earlier each day in the days leading up to the clock change.
This will help them adjust to the new schedule gradually and avoid any sudden disruptions to their routine. 🐕🐶❤️
