⭐️⭐️⭐️ Due to the new law coming in within a few months time regarding XL Bully’s, I have made the decision to no longer offer any of my fertility procedures for the breed with immediate effect. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Apologies to anyone in the firing line of the very angry man on this thread this morning. He is the prime example of why people are saying ‘it’s the owners and not the dogs’

I have purely stated that I do not wish to be part of any future breedings or be responsible for bringing any more puppies into the world whose future is so uncertain. Any puppies born now will likely be muzzled or live in kennels for their entire lives, or be euthanised. I cannot be part of that.

I didn’t make the new law, and I don’t think the dogs are to blame, but as a responsible human, I’m doing what I believe is right.

For anyone else wishing to bash me, or like that man is doing now, trying to ruin my business, it will fall on deaf ears.

New legislation surrounding Artificial Insemination…..

"As from June 2023 the Intervaginal Insemination of females is an act of veterinary surgery which should only be undertaken by a veterinary surgeon or a professional with a relevant exemption, such as a registered veterinary nurse under direction”

I think this is a huge step in the right direction for the future of dog breeding, and am more than happy that finally something is being done about all of these people doing cheap zoom and day courses then opening clinics straight away.

A one day course does not give you the experience you need. There are people opening their clinics then asking for others on social media to read results and diagnose scans.
It’s terrifying to think these people are doing procedures that could potentially do a lot of damage with just a few hours “training”

My stud dogs are all still working, albeit slightly differently to normal and enjoying every minute!

Following a decision of the RCVS Standards Committee lay people are now being advised to cease offering of intravaginal artificial insemination (‘AI’) breeding services for dogs.
