Maternity Leave has officially started 🫶🏽…

It’s been a hectic couple months say the least getting all my clients in before I take some time off from my business. It’s been 7 years in fact. So I’m actually really looking forward to putting my feet up & relaxing or “nesting” before the arrival & spending time with my children over summer holidays & baby. It’s going to be a special time for us all 🥰

I just want to take this opportunity to thank my clients these past couple weeks especially for being kind, patient & understanding when I’ve had to chop & change your appointments where baby decided to dislocate my pelvis 2 weeks back 🤢 & ended up in hospital thinking I was going to have an early labour. Ahhh the joys of pregnancy! But thank you 🙏🏽 🥰 I’m so happy I managed to get back on my feet & work till my mat leave date.

I’ll be very active on here & Facebook though. I’m such a multitasker so no doubt I’ll be making reels whilst breast feeding 🤣. So if you have any queries, questions or concerns I’m here to help 🫡

I’ll be working on my business BTS whilst off because who are we kidding I’m addicted… life of a soul trader 🙅🏽‍♀️. I’ll be putting the finishing touches to my salon whilst baby is in a sling 💪🏽 and have many exciting changes to implement in my business to steer it in the direction I want it grow into!

So for now lots of BTS & baby pics to grace my platform with till I’m back to work.

Some of you may have guessed already…🫢

I wanted to let you know I am expecting a baby! I have been so excited to tell you all but as you know its not always an easy time running a business and having a baby. Our little one is due to make an appearance at the beginning of August!!!

I will obviously be taking some time out from grooming your dog’s however I have my new salon, which is almost finished, so I won’t be gone for too long. If it all goes to plan you may not realise, I have been gone!

I am going to do my best to keep you all updated however that is going to mean you will have to put up with a some or maybe lots of baby photos on the social pages but I will give you an idea of when I am back to look after your dogs.

Grooming your dog’s isn’t uncomfortable at the moment. As long as it stays comfortable, I am planning on finishing on the 28th July so have a week or so off to get ready for the little ones arrival 🫶🏽

If you are on my VIP scheme please have a look out for my message as I will be contacting you personally regarding your plans & last appointments.

I am so excited to share this news with you all. Please keep your eye on instagram or Facebook as I will keep it updated. This has also made me realise how much I am going to miss you & your fur babies whilst I am on maternity leave 🥹…But it wont be for long!

I have BIG plans for when I am back 🤭 & I am looking forward to hosting an open day in the NEW salon where you can come and see the salon, have a look around and meet the new member of our family 🥰

Just a gentle reminder…

If you’ve gone over the recommended 6-8 week between appointments, it’s highly likely I won’t be able to get done what I normally would in the allocated time & your dog would most likely be matted & knotty.

So we don’t run into another clients appointment time & have time to dematt or shave your dog down please add on the de-matting treatment charge or I will check how long it’s been since you last came in & if it’s over 8 weeks, an automatic de-matting charge will be added to your appointment.

If your dog isn’t as matted or knotty as we initially thought & we can get their normal groom done in the allocated time, the de-matting charge will be removed!

I share many videos on how to brush, comb & dematt your dog at home. So please have a watch! And if you can’t find them, I’m happy to send you the link. Doing this will save you money on those extra de-matting charges.

Tips to keep your dog Matt free-

•Brush & comb daily - if hair pulls it’s knotting up so work on these areas

•Use conditioning spray for comfort & ease when combing

•Bring your dog in for a maintenance groom in between their regular appointments. If you want more info on a what’s involved just ask me ☺️.

•Pre book your 6-8 week appointments ahead of time

•Bring your dog in every 6-8 weeks any longer & an automatic de-matting charge will be added on.

*Please also be aware this has now increased to £15 per 30 minutes spent de-matting/shaving down.

What makes me happy?

Reviews like this one from Shannon make me so happy! When Nala feels safe enough to trust me when coming into my salon, it makes me feel like I’m doing a great job.

More often than not, dogs can be quite apprehensive about entering the groomers, however, I try my absolute best to keep them happy, safe and comfortable, and it shows when they are happy to return.
