We would like to share how very pleased we are for Emily Lochore riding Gullith and Alice Casburn riding LSS Ile De Re in the 4*L Horse Trials in Ballindenisk, Ireland.

Emily took the win, followed in close 2nd by Alice. A fantastic and well deserved achievement for both horse and rider.

The trip to Ireland for both competitors was assisted by our vet Diana, who is an OV (Official Veterinarian) which means she is authorised by the government to certify that relevant animal health requirements have been met ahead of export.

Well done everybody! 👏

There have been some updates to the Care About Cushing’s ACTH testing scheme for 2026, used to support the diagnosis of PPID (Equine Cushing’s).

These changes won’t affect horses currently under treatment, monitoring tests are still available at the appropriate time.

We are approved again this year to carry out Artificial Insemination. Please contact the clinic if you are interested in breeding from your mare this year. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have and to assist in the breeding process.

🐴 Tommyshop Callista DOB 07/04/2025 🐴

We have enjoyed looking after many lovely foals this year, but this one being a rare breed, is super special to us. Her dam 'Princess' came to us for Artificial Insemination (AI) in 2024 and as a result, produced this lovely filly early April this year.

We are pleased to announce that her caring owners are expecting 3 more of this lovely breed in 2026!

This lovely little foal was born a few weeks ago. Unfortunately the placenta was retained but due to the owner closely monitoring the foaling, they noticed this life-threatening issue and they contacted us in good time.

We were able to help her pass the placenta with no further issues and this lovely mare and foal are both doing really well!

Does anyone know what the brown liver-shaped tissue (circled in red) is, that was also passed during foaling?
