well.... I certainly have met some lovely canine friends this week!! You are obviously all savvy pets on social media...never a truer word said as ' clever boy!' apologies to our female friends ..'good girl!'.
I must say Sonny from Sunderland ..you and I have some resemblance.. good looking dude! Ralph from Essex.... dapper dickie bow wow!! Ben...Westhoughton....your story of despair and hope makes us all 'paws' for thought and think of others out there looking for their forever homes....thank you for your heartwarming story ..Rosie..Jack Russel...hearts back at cha.... .great to make friends ...must dash...got to see if that tree is still in the lounge....weird they brought a tree indoors but very handy in this weather.....an inside toilet at last...things are looking up!! laters!!

as I lie here wishing I hadn't just eaten that last bauble my mind wanders to summer...the wind in my ears and sand in my toes....oh for the freedom of the carefree season rather than the fuss of the festive season......more and more humans arriving bringing new and annoying bouncy puppies to stay and take over my organised ruling of my kingdom!....when will they leave????....now ..dont get me wrong...i love a good 'pig in a blanket' as much as the next dog but its all this social christmas media frenzy that makes a mockery of us pets! not so much pigs in blankets as excessive amounts of photos of ' pugs in blankets and cats in hats! ' our 'humans' ramp up the heating.. put more and more logs on the fire( for ' festive atmosphere') then when it's hot enough to cook the turkey in the lounge they put jumpers on us and we don't even go out!!!! what is this all about?? I will be contacting my union representative from 'FOCKARS' 'Friends Of Canine Kats And RodentS' who are setting up a councilling service for pets at this stressful time of year. please share your humiliating Christmas photos with me as a problem shared is indeed a problem halved.....i wish you a peaceful new year and here's to summer !

Well my animal friends..that appears to bring the hot weather to an end as the leaves begin to fall and my people keep closing that patio door...the number of times I have walked into it should tell them that I need it to be permanently open!
The obligatory short break photos follow...
I know the sight of the bags coming out in the home fill all of us animals with dread..I have been known to turn my back on my people for a goodly few days as a sign of protest to this cruel abandonment that they force upon us occasionally. Is it me or does the fact that they seem so happy and almost excited about the fact that they are getting rid of us for a time make it even more insulting!!! Well for 8 years now I have questioned their "need" for this turn of affection..and suddenly this year I was not left at Aunty Sandra's. ..the normally short journey squashed into the boot surrounded by plastic ( sharp) spades and mountains of shoes went on forever! After an age we stopped..but no Sandra in sight...a two minute comfort break in a Car park!!!!( how embarrassing)
Then back in the boot!
Another mammoth time later and they let me out! I was by a large body of water with lots of annoying sand! This was to be my "holiday" for the next few days! I now know where they go friends...it surely is a strange idea...our gardens and local lamppost really are much better suited to our needs..however...go with it...man's best friend and all..enjoy my experience..but rest assured all..if you are not invited with your people next year...fret not..for that sand gets everywhere and the body of water tastes awful...

Well......I mean...what on earth do they call this???? A bloody cheek id say..call that a present!!For the past 3 weeks the minute the door bell rings and I am in the middle of a fine operatic bark with a falsetto tone, (oh yes, I thank you for your praise on my voice) "they" shove it in my mouth and tell me to STAY! ..Then other humans come in and laugh at me!!!!! I cannot imagine what i have done deserve such ridicule!..if it continues i will be ringing that helpline....rspca....(apparently its confidential support for bullied pets!) This"present" is neither use nor blooming ornament to any self respecting canine!! THIS is what that invisible "father Christmas "left for me!! What nonsense! SHE brought it.. showed it to me..I had no idea why she found it funny ..then she took it back from me and covered it in paper...made me sit and look at it for two weeks under a tree they brought into the lounge!!! I must admit that I was quite impressed that they had decided to bring me an inside toilet..until I tried it and got sent outside!! Make your mind up won't you people!! Anyway..I write this post today as I wanted to share with any of you out there who have spent the last few weeks being ridiculed in clothing etc...i had to look away when I saw a staffy in the park wearing a pink sweater!!! I looked away to save him..he looked so so ashamed!

A happy new year to all my animal friends..well ..what can one say?!
Don't know about your homes but recently there has been a lot of unrest in the air...for a goodly while my people kept smiling at me nodding their heads and telling me that father Christmas was coming soon. There was a lot of fuss and bags coming in and out of the house. I did my best to appear interested but I could smell nothing to be so excited about...suddenly it reached quite a fever pitch! My people left some carrots out on the floor . They warned me not to touch them ..what do they think I am...a rabbit??! Cheek! (No offence to my bunny follower )however thoroughly enjoyed the mince pie when they all went to bed.the next morning they told the smaller person that "he'd been!!".......no he hadn't!.what a load of lies ...I had been on the sofa all night and I can assure you that no one got past me! My people showed me a pile of rather nice smelling parcels however you can see from the photo that I think there was some favouritism going on...just look at the size of the small persons pile compared to mine on the sofa!!!!!! I think you can see from my face that I found it hard to not be quite offended! I will have to re think this man's best friend game cos it's clearly not working! Till next time...ciao!

A very pleasant and unplanned stay last night was a lovely mini break for me at Sandra's house....my people obviously thought I needed a break and I would recommend your bed and breakfast to my canine friends. Although there was a lack of breakfast today. I will excuse the landlady Sandra due to the last minute arrangements and will be recommending your b and b on trip advisor and will definitely book in again.
I have been terribly busy of late so not posted for a while.
I have discovered that very dark black mud is much harder for my person to wash off me when I roll in it and so would highly recommend it ....it has a lasting scent and reduces the need to roll again for a good few hours.
It is a fabulous time of year for me as my people keep wearing cloth on their hands which is great to use as dental floss when they are not around.
I popped out through the hedge yesterday and found my way to a lovely fridge in a house not far from my own. The person did not seem very happy to see me but I'm sure we will become firm friends as I plan to re visit many times.
