Update on strangles!

Just had the best news all our horses are now negative!

Update

That is all our results back, the final 2 coming back negative. So out of 16 horses we have 3 positive cases which are being isolated out in a field still no symptoms in any of the 3 horses so here is hoping for a quick end to this. 🤞🤞🤞

Update

So we have had 6 horses scoped, we are still waiting on 2 results but out of the other 4 horses 3 are positive for strangles and one clear but still not one symptom in any of the horses, no cough, no high temperature, no runny nose’s and no change in the horses general health. No new recent arrivals in last 4 months only horses to leave the yard have been ours and they are in a completely separate area from Liveries. Crazy.

STRANGLES

Just to make everybody aware we have just received the news that we have a positive case of strangles on our yard. We are working with MBM vets who will be out on Monday to blood test full yard and hopefully reduce the spread.

Tonight we had a wee outing to Muirmill for the unaffiliated jumping for Elyse and Dexter! What stars they were! I think Elyse’s smile says it all! 2nd and a 4th! Massive well done to you both!!

Keira, Bud and myself had a very early start on Sunday morning for our trip to Howe equestrian for the area team qualifier for the national championship at Stonleigh. After 2 rounds for each of the members the team took 2nd place to qualify! All riders and horses jumped so well. Thank you so much to Emma Stewart for looking after the yard and the rest of Keira’s horses without you Emma these trips just wouldn’t be possible!🥰 The video is of Bud and Keira jumping clear in their 2nd round of the 1m15 section.
