Well we've made it to the clocks changing, did anyone manage a lie in? And is it just us or has that been the longest winter ever? Mind you with hail, snow, lots of rain and of course sunbathing opportunities thrown into the mix on repeat the guys haven't know whether they are coming or going but they've had fun doing it.

As always we've been out and about around Kilwinning, been doing a spot of training here and there but judging by the photos the highlight has been the bacon bubbles..... especially for Harry 😂

We have to say a special good luck to Aimee as she moves out of the unit to open Tall Bark & Handsome very own salon in the High Street. We know you will make a huge sucess of it and we can't wait to hear all about it. Enjoy every moment of you and Stephanie's first day tomorrow 💖

Well that’s a wrap on Ashgrove Workshops. Such a bittersweet moment!
I would just like to say a massive thank you to Mandie, Avril, Emma, Chloe and everyone else over the last 6 years at Adventure, Tails and Trails/ The Dogworks.
So proud of the business that we’ve grown over the past 6 years and even more proud that we’re able to now open our own shop!
Today is the last day of sorting the new shop and will post a “House Tour” later on tonight. I will reply to all messages asap just trying to get all set up for the big opening day tomorrow.

We'll have to start with an apology for the radio silence over the last few weeks, life has been well a little lifey but rest assurred the daycare crew have been up to their usual fun and games.

So in a slight change from their usual photos there are the guys putting their suggestions for adventure days now we are edging ever closer to spring 🌻🐾

and we'll be back with our regular post later this week

We hope you've all had a good weekend and managed to get out for some walks and general fun with your dogs in between showers. We got very lucky this morning for trailing classes and having come out expecting the worst and all feeling slightly overdressed we ended up being pretty much dry by the end! Miracles will never cease but we still would like spring to make an appearance please 🌸

In the Daycare the story has been much the same snuggling up with blankies and heaters then running out for walks or to the garden inbetween the rain but we've been having fun nevertheless. There has been a lot of local exploring going on including some of the Kilwinning section of the Whithorn Way which goes from Glasgow down to Whithorn Isle should you fancy a really big walk.... it's only 155 miles start to finish! 🥾🐾

It also takes in some great sections locally and slightly further afield though including the Blair Estate (dogs must be kept on lead here), Lochshore Park at Glengarnock with it's great 5k track and Castle Semple including Johnshill Wood at Lochwinnoch. Going South it goes through Garnock Nature reserve then on to Irvine Beach park. So lots of options for everyone,

We've also had some beautiful friendships developing in the unit Cooper still thinks Kailee is the best and she is fairly taken with him as well, Moose and Billy were having the best game of bitey face/bitey legs then Tilly, Faith & Hamish decided they were the sofa gang. We'll also give Nero and Ollie a special mention 💞

If you are lucky enough to have the long weekend off with the school holiday enjoy your Monday and if you're not here's some faces to brighten up your day.

Well this is the week that saw the first glimmers that the end of winter is coming or at least our first false spring!

It was still light at 5pm, we had blue skies more than once this week and the garden was in play even if it was still on the chilly side for the door to be open all day. It did mean we were only asked to open it a few hundred times a day rather than the thousands that have been the last few months 😄 not looking at anyone in particular but we're sure everyone will have their guesses! oh and there was sunbathing mainly from Oscar, with Frazzle and Moose trying really hard to join him but struggling with the it's sunny but so cold concept😎

The new toy bucket was a big hit and we think Nero thought there was a prize for the most photographed dog this week 💞 There's been adventure walks with Tillie heading out with Avril to explore our localish area and find new green spaces, Kona & Blair heading to Ardeer with Mandie (who cannot be trusted to find a proper path!) and a trip to Lochshore with T & M. A fab walk for anyone who is looking for a walk that can be anything from a stroll round the old rugby pitches to 5k and beyond on a decent path and onto the cycle track if you want to make it a really big walk 🐾

For the weekend Mandie's boys went waterfall hunting up on Dalry moor which has some more great walks although you to have to watch for livestock in various areas but if you like a hill walk there are some really good options. Then this morning saw some fantastic trail finding from the Sunday morning Trailing & Questing crew following on from Cooper & Machrie's fun on Monday evening in the dark. We'll be holding some intro sessions again soon for those that fancy joining the club.

We are getting back in the swing of things after our Christmas break, although it seems like a distant memory with January being the usual 7 weeks long, and the gang came back raring to go and everyone was very pleased to see their friends 💞

We started some new training challenges and we will reveal more over the coming weeks. Lets just say it invovles hula hoops and no it doesn't involve either Mandie or Avril trying to use them! 😄

We've been getting out exploring now the ice has disappeared and we can't wait to get out more with the guys with our aim of bringing introducing everyday adventures around our area. So often when we think of going on an adventure walk it brings up images of massive hikes or travelling to some far flung spot but we have so much right on our doorstep and we want to introduce you to some of our favourite spots. Just be warned if you head anywhere Mandie recommends there is a high chance you will get muddy, sandy, wet or any combination of the three ..... you have been warned 😁

We hope everyone has had a good Christmas and New Year break with Santa being good to all your pups.

As we settle into being back and with Charlie and Reggie having left us to enjoy their retirement we are opening up a few Daycare Induction spaces to join the crew here at Adventure Tails & Trails.

Places are very much limited and we're sorry to say are only available for socialable small to medium sized dogs. We love your big guys but unfortunately we are fully booked for those larger than Lab size at the moment but we are taking names for our waiting list again.

Our Daycare Induction runs over 4 weeks either for 2 or 3 days each week and is designed to make sure daycare is the right fit for your dog. Whilst it's always a lot of fun, coming into a new group of dogs isn't always right for every dog so we want to take time to make sure your dog is going to be happy with us.

Our last birthday wishes of the year go to young Charlie who has absolutely no idea he's anything but a puppy... and who are we to tell him otherwise 💕

He loves nothing more than hiding his ball under something then telling us he can't get it out and help him NOW!

Our last and by no means least birthday for this week is the daycare cheerleader Rosie 💖

Rosie is wonderfully choosy girl who always knows exactly what she wants and fortunately for us cuddles is one of those things. She has a big personality and always has something to say 🐾

Over the last few weeks Cooper seems to have decided that 5 is the time to have a second puppyhood with a new burst of energy playing with his friends or more to the point playing with his brothers friends letting him watch on from the sideines! 🥳
