🐾☀️ I know I say this every time the sun comes out… but it’s because I care ☀️🐾

As the temperature creeps up, please keep an extra eye on your chowdren ❤️

Heat stroke can happen so quickly, and with their thick coats, they can struggle far more than we realise. What feels like a nice, warm day to us can be too much for them in minutes 🌡️

💔 We sadly know several Chows who have passed from heat stroke
so please just take that little bit of extra care:

🐾 Early morning or late evening walks only
🐾 Plenty of shade and fresh water
🐾 If you’re unsure — it’s always safer to skip it

I know I’ll be saying this again the next time the sun shows up… but if it helps even one dog stay safe, it’s worth it 🖤

Feel free to share pictures of your floofs chilling out ⛱️🐾

🖤 **We still don’t have answers for Bear** 🐾

Pain relief is helping 💙 but something isn’t right 💔

He’s now being referred to a specialist, but we don’t yet know if this is neurological or orthopaedic. The way he tilts his head when he’s in pain could point either way, and we won’t know without more tests.

💙 You’ve already helped cover his consultation (thank you!) and that’s our next step!
💔 But we’re now facing additional diagnostics, and the vet is getting a clearer estimate and a referral… we know this could mean an MRI 😭

We’re so close to answers, please help us in any way you can 🖤

Meet Blue 🐾💙

This gorgeous boy isn’t currently in our care — he’s with the **RSPCA in Great Ayton**, who have asked us to help find him the most amazing forever home possible.

If you’re interested in adopting Blue, please apply via the RSPCA form here:

You can also read more about him on their website:

---

Blue is a 9-month-old Chow Chow who’s had a tough start, but he’s come through it like a champ. Since arriving in RSPCA care, he’s had surgery to remove one eye and lots of TLC to help his coat recover after it was severely matted.

Now he’s ready to find a fresh start 🏡

Blue is a confident, affectionate boy who *loves* attention, tasty treats, and exploring new places. He’s still young and can be a bit excitable on the lead, so he’ll need some ongoing training to tesch him manners 🤣

Because of his coat, Blue needs a home that understands grooming is a big commitment — daily brushing and care are essential to keep him comfortable. He’s happy to be brushed but appreciates being able to wander off when he’s had enough...typical Chow!

He’ll need to be the **only dog in the home**, but he could live with older children who understand he needs his space sometimes. He’d also benefit from positive, controlled socialisation with calm dogs and possibly some training classes to build his confidence.

Most importantly, Blue is a total people-lover ❤️ He’ll need a home where someone can be around a lot initially to help him settle and feel secure.

If you think you could offer this special boy the loving, dedicated home he deserves, please apply via the RSPCA link above — let’s help Blue find his perfect match 🐶✨

‼️Reggie‼️Correction - he has been neutered

Straight back to it! This is Reggie - 1 and a half year old nuetered male. Must be an ONLY pet and homes with older children only (12+)

This little cutie is still so young and absolutely adored. He currently lives in Dunfermline and we are hoping to meet with him asap.

His current humans have said that he is normally great with people but has started to become overly protective of the home since they brought their newborn home. He has nipped at grandpa as a warning and they don't want to risk him developing aggressive behaviour. ALSO, he is a young boy so he is gaining strength and will need someone who understands that. It would be great to find a home with experience managing a guard breed ❤️

If you would like to be considered to adopt Reggie pleaae complete the form below. If you have submitted this previously, please just message me to let me know you want to be considered 😊

Just a little update. Bear is back at the vet today due to strange behaviour and pain so we are waiting on an update now. I think we will likely want to get an MRI asap to find the cause of the issue (hopefully). You amazibg people have already donated £450 but please keep sharing! We are trying to get at least £1000 towards his MRI which is expected to be over £1500+

Thank you!

You are amazing! It is 10am in Japan and I just checked my phone and saw you have donated £250 so far! Please share and donate if you can. Thank you all!

Bear needs help 💙
Ps. we are still in Japan so time differences are a bit awkward! We will answer any messages asap though!

Black Chow Chow | 5 years old

Bear has been through *so many* home changes — before finally finding a family who adore him and gave him the stability he deserves.

💔 Now he’s in pain.
After tripping on a walk (19 April) and later developing severe left shoulder pain (8 May), vets have advised the next step must be an **MRI** to find the cause and relieve his suffering.

💷 **Estimated cost: £1,500–£2,000**

We hate asking for money, but this is the only way we can help Bear get the care he needs. All vet records, receipts, and updates will be shared transparently.

Just a little update that we may take a little longer to reply to messages until the 18th of May, whilst we are away 🍣 Not sure our own Chows even know we are gone though! The boys are loving life with the Chow sitter (she's amazing!) and Maya is getting all the snacks from great gran! 🥰
