Harrowing our summer fields has commenced 😍

Assisted DIY (includes haylage, bedding, turnout & bring in Mon to Fri and feeds put in. Only need to visit once per day)

Full Livery (Includes above plus full muck out am and skip out pm, hooves picked out, rugs changes, legs hosed, if requested)

⭐️Relaxed and friendly yard. Suit like minded owner who enjoys quality time with their horse or pony in a tranquil environment with great facilities.

⭐️ Horses health, welfare & happiness is what we care about. Daily field turnout in winter and option of 24/7 turnout during summer.

⭐️Lovely quiet hacking from our gate, no need to go near main roads.

⭐️We have a lovely mix of horses and owners.

⭐️Guttural wash and isolation period for new arrivals. Vet managed worming programme for all horses.

⭐️Our Facilities include:

🐴 20 x 20m lunge pen with combi-ride surface
🐴 Purpose built light and airy stables

I’m looking forward to being able to move our horses over to their summer fields (a few weeks away yet!) so I can commence harrowing etc as there’s a lot of dead grass in some of our fields.

I’ve often worried this winter as we’ve had less grass than normal as a result of the weather, but then I take a walk through the fields and realise they still have plenty to eat! They also have a HUGE field and although there has been mud at the gateway, it’s only the gateway!

When the weather is this fantastic I feel like I can finally see the light after what has felt like the longest most crappy winter! 😁

Roll on harrowing, rolling, reseeding, fertilising, w**d control, and lots of lovely grass for next winter.

Also, it’s lovely to see many of the horses with the sun on their backs and naked for a wee change 🥰. I’ll need to take and share photos of the rest of the gang!

Some of our fields have rather alot of grass 🙈 Not that any of this lot are complaining 😂 We have plenty land for the number of horses and so rest and rotate our grazing 😊

Here is Pataca (Argentinian polo pony). She arrived here in poor condition having not thrived at her previous yard. She’s an older mare and although her owner had retired her from playing polo, she had hoped for some hacking and light fun. This was sadly looking unlikely. Fast forward 1 year, she’s looking amazing, being gently ridden and even able to have a little practice chukka in the school. Her speed increases and her eyes light up when she sees the ball. It’s so lovely to see her more like her former self, albeit an old lady version 😍
