* Well, that's my workout for the year done after giving these 2 a good scrub!!! Whoever says short coated dogs don't need groomed, please come and help tidy up after these 2 have been in!

* It's hard to believe that BooBoo, on the left, is only 9 months!! Buttercup however, matches me in the 'resting bitch face' stakes!

* Boo's Mum and I were SUPER impressed with him - he didn't just tolerate the high velocity dryer...he 100% accepted it...wasn't phased by it - we aren't even sure he noticed it was on him he was that good😂 Now this is compared to their last visit in April where he was so scared of the less powerful stand dryer he wouldn't come near it at all so I had to towel dry him. We think he may have been going through a fear period, so even more important that he wasn't forced in to getting the dryer on him.

* They both had a LORRA coat to come out, esp BooBoo, so it's great that their Mum gets them done regularly. Less hair and shiny coats. nails clipped - sorted until next time...so I have a couple of months to recover...

* What I love about Martha is she very clear in her body language when she has had enough. I did some table work with her and after a few tries, she was like 'ok, that'll do me for today' and headed toward the door 😂

* She was very good with the rubber brush on her - starting very gentle to build up the good associations.

* Lots to work on but starting this young is absolutely ideal and gives the pup the best chance to learn and have better experiences

* Zoro in for his monthly deshed, and I can honestly say that was his best session yet!

* As you can see from the first picture I have the dryer on while he is enjoying playing with some toys - we mixed it up a bit as I find food works best for him, but not this visit!! He was much much more tolerant of the dryer, but today was also the first time he has let me comb him through which is just AMAZING!! Having my groomer hat on I have been itching to get a comb through him to get rid of all that dead hair (and he has lots!). The great thing is though, the deshedding shampoo works so well and the dryer as well so they do get rid of a lot of it, but the comb is a game changer.

* So does this mean he is going to keep getting better and better each time he comes in? Well I hope he will but not necessarily! Just like us humans, dogs have bad days - days where they are not feeling themselves, days where they've been trigger stacked and are more on edge and anxious - not to mention I need to take Zoro's young age in to account, lots of hormones flying about! But, he has been doing so well he might be even better next time, we shall have to wait and see 😘

**POSITIVELY PUPPY PACKAGE ** POSITIVELY PUPPY PACKAGE **

* The newest recruit, who is UNBELIEVABLY cute!!

* Teeny Martha is 14 weeks old and came in for her first session. She was understandably a bit nervous when she first entered the salon, but it was absolutely lovely to see her body language change into loose and relaxed when she started to realise that 'hey, this place ain't so bad and this wumman is pretty awrite' 😂

* The first session in the pup package, regardless of how confident the pup is (or more importantly appears to be!), is a sniff about and exploration time only. With some dogs I don't even pat them - some can be that nervous or unsure of different environments and people for me to then start touching them would be far too overwhelming for them and would result in them being more nervous. So it's so important to read their body language - every single dog is different!

* Martha absolutely loved the tasty treats which helped put her at ease and made her first visit a positive and stress free time!

* Looking forward to seeing you next week little lady 😍

* She is a very good wee girl getting groomed but isn't keen on the dryer on her head, so it's better for her for me to brush it through and let it air dry until it's time to scissor it 🥰
