Hi everyone so after having 8 months off with Abel I have decided that I will be back taking on more Clients & back to offering Monday - Friday walks. While I have been off on maternity leave my mom and sister have been holding down the fought & keeping the business going and are now going to stay and join Lead the Way permanently which means I can offer the flexibility I did previously.
For anyone new and considering a dog walker and thinking why us?
- we offer variety on walks we don’t do the same walk every time
- your dog is treated like our own
- we encourage and work on good behaviour and manners on group walks building confidence with the more timid or younger dogs
- no recall no problem, I run lead the way enclosed dog field at Hodgehill garden centre we can always have use of that if and when needed.
- a very successful package we offer is our puppy packages - we will visit your puppy feed & let out while they are to young to come out for a walk then slowly introduce them to joining us out for walks, car journeys, practicing recall, sit etc socialising in groups and general confidence building when they are at the right age to do so.
a quick bit of background information.
Before starting lead the way I worked for West Midlands police at the dog training centre for 6 years training, walking and doing the general day to day care of the police dogs from delivering the puppies to the untrained and trained police dogs. I have 3 dogs of my own and have grown up with dogs my whole life. My mom (Rachel) and sister (Ruby) also have had dogs their whole lives from 3kg - 70kg, rescue dogs to helping me with the police ones between us we have done it all.
Lead the way has been running very successfully now for 3 years. We don’t require set days we just ask for your requirements the weekend before the new weeks walks start.
