VETERINARY SURGEON
Location: Mawsley, Rural North Northamptonshire
Salary: £50,000-£70,000 DOE
Job Type: Part-time (circa 20 hours a week with the potential to increase hours as the practice grows)
Start Date: Ideally September 2026 onwards

We are looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join us at Mawsley Vets; a new, independent practice near Kettering, Northamptonshire. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the culture, clinical standards, and future direction of a modern, client-focused practice that puts patient care and team wellbeing first.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Alongside our full-time Veterinary Surgeon, you will:
Deliver high-quality medical and surgical care to small animal patients.
Build strong relationships with clients and provide excellent communication.
Work collaboratively with a supportive nursing and client care team.
Contribute ideas to help develop clinical protocols and practice services.
Enjoy a varied caseload with clinical freedom and autonomy.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
Confident in consultations and strong surgical skillset at a first opinion level.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A positive, compassionate approach to patient and client care.
Capable of delivering all the above, during periods of sole charge.
Interest in helping develop and grow a new independent practice.
