Hi, I'm Demi 👋

The face behind the business, it's been a while so I thought I'd reintroduce myself ☺️

As a teenager, I started work at Wolfwood rescue centre. I then moved to Kendal College, looking after resident animals, rehabilitating wildlife and teaching students about handling and husbandry. I also attended wildlife rehabilitation training at the RSPCA in Cheshire. 🦔

After leaving the college, my veterinary career began. I joined Bay Vets in 2015 as an auxiliary nurse, working all my way up to being a Registered Veterinary Nurse. And most recently completing an additional Medical Nursing Certificate 👩🏼‍⚕️

Currently, I am the Head Night Nurse at Bay Vets and work out of hours dealing with emergencies and inpatients. I also pick up shifts at other emergency clinics in the area 🚑

I live a quiet life in the country, spending time with my boys 🐶, husband and family. Going away in our campervan, walking in the lakes and most recently paddleboarding are my favourite things to do. I started Your Pet Nurse just over a year ago and really hope to become a vital part of the community in Kendal 🥰
