Walkies with Marina Lyn

I set up walkies with Marina Lyn because I always wanted to work with dogs, but have now stumbled on a better career which is, Dog grooming!! Currently I am training towards my level 2 & 3 City and Guilds dog grooming qualification at Canine Groom School. I hopefully will be taking bookings from October🎃 but for now, I have an Instagram page set up so everyone can follow my journey🐶 My business is called ‘Marina’s Mutts’ and I am hopefully going to set up a salon at home, so there will also be updates on the transformation of converting one of the spare rooms🔨 Below is before and after pictures of a teddy trim clip off I did on this gorgeous girl!

Well I’ve been a bit quiet lately but in the mean time I have had lots of walks with my friend!Taylor-Jane Chapple Barley and Jasper are now the best of friends! I’ve also done a course on ‘Canine First Aid’ at Newton Rigg College with a vet, which I learnt so much about different illnesses, signs of ill dogs, what’s good or bad for them and so much more. And on Saturday afternoons I’ve started volunteering at the animal rescue centre which is one of the best things I have signed up for! Getting more experience and confidence with walking different types of dogs.😊

We had the gorgeous Coco staying with us this weekend. I’ve never met such a lively 9 year old! She was so lovely to look after, sleeping next to me, cuddles on the sofa, long walks and she was even waiting for her dinner to be severed at the table...😆 how I miss that cheeky little face already🥺

A dog really is a girls best friend!! Jack is our sheep dog on the farm, he’s a massive softy and loves cuddles and also loves running around the field crazy🤪 and then we have Barley who is getting old but he would never miss a chance to go on a walk😆

Was pleased to be asked back to walk these two cheeky monkeys again today! We had sun, thunder and a lot of rain... but was still a lovely walk up the castle☺️
