Back in March a beautiful dog was found wandering around Gargrave. He had been dumped.

Now named Wally, this gorgeous boy came into ADIN via the dog warden.

Wally went into foster. It became apparent that Wally had some health issues including a wobbly back end. It was looking like this young lad was going have an uncertain future.

But having received some tender loving care to gradually build his strength up, Wally worked on Susan & Brian's heart strings. We received the most wonderful news when they announced they wanted to adopt!

We think Wally approves ❤️.

Thank you to all who have been part of Wally's journey. From the person who spotted him still wandering around Gargrave the following day and took him to Ashlands Veterinary Centre. To Langcliffe Kennels and Cattery who cared for him in the hope that he would be claimed by his owner, Kingsway Veterinary Group for their excellent care and treatment and finally Susan and Brian.

🎉🐶 It’s a pup party! 🐶🎉

Back in September 2022, Iris came to us with a total of 8 pups who were only 3 days old 🥺 They were fostered by the amazing Marie Feaviour until they went onto their new homes!

To celebrate their 3rd birthday, Iris and the pups met up and had a pup party 🎉🎈check out the videos in the comments!

They also collected and raised a donation of £50 so a massive thank you to all the families that came together and who have given the dogs their furever homes 🥰

Bags of character and still playful in her middle age.....please welcome Dina to the ADIN family.

Dina is an 8 years young Jack Russell needing a new home through no fault of her own. Her owner's mobility is deteriorating and unfortunately there have been some falls and trips resulting in injuries. She has made the very difficult decision to rehome her companion to keep them both safe.

Dina has bags of personality 🤩. She can be a little barky when excited, what Jack Russell isn't???. But she does calm down pretty quickly.

Dina has previously lived with cats 🐈 and would likely love another cat companion.

Whilst Dina is absolutely fine with other dogs outside, she can be a little spicy in the home. She would possibly be fine with a quieter, calm dog.

✅️ House trained
✅️ ok to be left up to 4 hours
♥️ loves her ⚽️ - ball is life!
✅️ neutered
✅️ vaccinated
✅️ microchipped

❗️ Dina hasn't lived with children but has encountered visiting grandchildren. She can be little grumbly when the kids get particular attention from Grandma - so they tend to not be overly demonstrative in Dina s presence.

If you think you are the companion for Dina please email [email protected] to express your interest. Subject to a home check.

🐣 We have been keeping a secret 🤫

But now we would like to introduce you to our 4 new little girls!

Pearl 💜, Maude 🧡, Agnes 💚, and Bee 💛

The pups are Pugs. Originally, there were 6 puppies who came to us at 3 days old when mum was too ill to feed them. The owner reached out to us to ask for our help as they felt they couldn't commit to the hand rearing.

Unfortunately, we lost Appa 🤎 at 10 days old and then Enzo 🩷 at 16 days old. Pugs are considered to be one of the hardest breed of dog to hand rear - to have 4 out of 6 fighting fit is nigh on a miracle.

The girls are finding their feet and starting on solids. Their funny little characters are coming through. At nearly 4 weeks old they will be ready to go to their new homes around the 20th September 2025.

Our girls have been hand reared and so love the company of people. They are currently in homes with other well behaved, social dogs and cats. They are used to car travel and are already toileting by themselves on puppy pads.

We are inviting applications initially from people already home checked who wish to be considered to adopt one of our precious girls. Please note, applicants will need to be home much of the time and be happy to continue house training and socialising.

The Pug is a very clever and sociable breed that can live up to15 years old. So, please bear this in mind when applying.

Please email [email protected] to apply.

New boy on block🐾

Harry is a 3 year old Crossbreed - we believe he is a cross between a Beagle and a Parson Jack Russell Terrier - just look at his ears 🐹 and his legs!🦒

He is friendly, affectionate, playful and lively 🧡.

He would love a new home where he will get plenty of long sniffy walks - that’s his favourite thing in the world 🐕🌳🌷

✅ Housetrained

✅ Can be left for reasonable periods

✅ Travels well in a car 🚗

✅ Sociable with other dogs 🐕🐩🐕‍🦺🦮

❓Needs further work with training and lead training

❓Very vocal - that’s the Beagle in him!

❌ No cats - that’s the Terrier in him!

If you are looking for a constant companion with bags of personality then please get in touch.

Harry is available to foster or adopt.

If you think Harry is the companion for you please email [email protected].

Happy Adoption Day Hettie!

We're delighted to celebrate Hettie's adoption by Kelly and Craig. Hettie has really fallen on her feet here, enjoying beach holidays with her doggie big sister Boo, "helping" Kelly out at work at Doggie Dolittle Boutique & Grooming Salon and generally ruling the roost in her new home.

We look forward to hearing of her adventures in the future and we're so glad to have been able to help out Hettie's lovely previous family who were heartbroken to have to rehome her due to ill-health.

Huge thanks to Kelly also for all her support of ADIN over the years, you're a star 🤗

Tissues at the ready - we have a special announcement!

Hazel has only gone a found her forever home 🏡

Hazel, who spent the first 10 years of her life in a garden, her bed a lean to. Hazel was unkempt, smelly and looking pretty tired of life.

Step forward Christine and John, who have fostered her for the last 4 months. Look at her now 🧡. They have worked wonders. Hazel is a different dog. A cosy home, good food, walks and love.

Christine and John don't want her to leave, and neither does Hazel.

We couldn't be more pleased 😀

Thank you Christine & John for proving Hazel with all she deserves and more xx

🚨SAXON - New Home Needed🚨

After a trial that didn’t work out, Saxon is now back available to adopt!

He’s the now 10 month-old German Shepherd X who’s ready for a fresh start 🐾

🐶 Although still a young dog he's already standing 26 inches at the shoulders. He’s playful and sweet but needs someone who can guide him properly.

👶🏼❗️Saxon needs a home without any children after a negative experience, and can be a bit nervous outdoors. He needs time to be socialised slowly at his own pace.

🔍 What You Should Know About Saxon:

✔️ Housetrained
🛋️ Can't be left alone – he likes a little nibble on the furniture
🚫 Needs training – still figuring out his boundaries
🚶‍♂️Super friendly but wants to play with everyone (walks are a work in progress)
✋ Mouths gently – but we’re working on it
💕Big Softie – loves attention & cuddles

We are always honest about our dogs to make sure they find the right fit.

After one already failed trial, Saxon needs a home where he can decompress and get all the love he deserves. He's still just a puppy and in the right hands he will shine 💖

Are you ready to be his hero?

Please email [email protected] if you think you'd be a match 🥰
