💙 Rocko is officially adopted 💙

We knew Rocko had some skin issues when he came in to ADIN, but it turned out they were just the tip of the iceberg 😔.

Rocko's health really took a turn for the worse within a couple of weeks of moving on supported adoption. Rocko's ears and skin flared up so badly we knew it was going to be serious battle to get the right medication and tests to get it all under control.

We are so grateful to Calum and his family for persevering and standing by Rocko. It has been anything but a smooth transition, but the bond between Rocko and Calum is unmistakable. Rocko is now a happy and healthy little dude! His skin looks amazing, his ears are clear, his paws are not red raw and his fur looks glossy and healthy.

Rocko will be on medication for the rest of his life but with a responsible and empathetic owner he will never feel that pain and discomfort ever again.

We wish Rocko and Calum many happy years of companionship 💙.

💙 Looking for love? So is Remi! 💙

Remi is a friendly, affectionate 3 year French bulldog who adores people. He’s a loyal companion with lots of love to give! 🐶

Although reliably friendly with people, Remi is somewhat unpredictable with other male dogs and also with livestock 🐑 Sadly, his current home backs onto a livestock field, and clever Remi has learned how to climb walls 🫣

After escaping and causing injuries to a goat his family have had to make the sad decision to rehome him to a place away from livestock 🥺

✅ fully housetrained

🚗 travels well in the car

👶🏼 He has grown up happily with children aged 6 upwards

🐶 Although Remi lives amicably with another dog at the moment we feel he would benefit from being an only dog as he likes to be the centre of attention and have his owner's full focus 🥰

🐕🚶He is a lively playful lad who enjoys his walks and needs a fair amount of exercise, he is quite big for a French Bulldog and therefore can be strong on the lead. He would need close supervision around other male dogs who are off the lead.

❗️😺 He needs a cat free home

🐾 Aireworth Dogs in Need Annual Report 2025 🐾

We’re pleased to share our Annual Committee Report, presented by our new Chair, Cera Feaviour, at our AGM earlier this month.

As you’ll see, it’s been a year of working harder than ever. The number of requests for help with rehoming dogs continues to rise, and we remain as committed, as ever, to supporting the dogs in our care and the local community.

Over the last financial year we have felt the impact of rising costs directly. Our income unfortunately fell by 17%, while our vet bills, our largest area of expenditure, rose by a whopping 18%! These challenges are significant, but we are determined to continue providing the best possible care to the dogs who need us.

Following a careful review of the year, we will be focusing even more on fundraising, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donates, no matter how big or small. Every single penny truly makes a difference in helping us continue our work.

To help us in our challenge of meeting the rising costs,, we have also made the difficult decision to adjust our adoption fees. From 1st August 2025, our new adoption fees will be:

🐾£250 for dogs over 4 months and under 10 years
🐾£350 for puppies under 4 months
🐾£300 for a bonded pair of dogs
🐾£100 for dogs over 10 years

We’re grateful for your understanding and ongoing support, which allow us to keep helping local dogs find the loving homes they deserve.

🩷🩷 Please meet Hettie 🩷🩷

Hettie is a 4 year old Shih Tzu who is needing a new permanent home due to her owner's ill health. She is a well loved little girl in a very sad situation 💔❤️‍🩹

Please share as Hettie needs a new home urgently!

👧🏼👶🏼 Would be a good family dog as she likes childen (can live with children aged 5+)

🚗 Travels well in the car and likes to be out and about

🙇🏼‍♀️ A little cautious meeting new people but soon accepts them when she knows they’re friendly

🐕🚶‍♀️As her owner has been poorly for a while, Hettie hasn't had a regular walking routine recently. She is a young and active dog who will need exercise but will need this building up in duration

🐶 Hettie is friendly with other dogs and could live with another calm, small/medium sized dog, although she has been an only dog up to now

She can be overwhelmed by big and boisterous dogs but will tell them off if she wants some space.

‼️😺 Cannot live with cats

🏡 Housetraining will need a little attention - Hettie can have accidents but with regular walks and access to the outside this will improve. She is used to using puppy pads inside when she doesn't have access to the garden.

🐾 She can be left for short periods.

🐾🐶 Patch - available to adopt 🐶🐾

Patch is a very affectionate & friendly 6 year old staffy X jrt

He was previously adopted through ADIN 5 years ago, but due to a change in his owners' circumstances he needs to be rehomed ❤️

He loves all the people he meets and will lick them to death if he gets chance 💕

He needs to go to a pet free home where he will get lots of cuddles and attention.

🐶😺‼️ Patch can be unpredictable with other dogs and will chase cats so would be happier being the only pet in the home.

🐾 Puppy love alert! Tilly and Poppy are available to adopt!!! 🐾

These two adorable pups are around 8-9 weeks old and are likely to grow into medium-sized crossbreeds 💛

They were sadly found abandoned, covered in filth, shaking, and half starved but their little hearts are still full of love. Since being rescued, they’ve shown nothing but sweetness, curiosity, and resilience 💪🏼🐶

🥰 Gentle, loving, and friendly
👶🏼 Great with children, they love to play!
🚗 Travel well in the car
💤Sleep soundly together in their crate at night
🧻 Learning toilet training quickly (they're very smart!)

All they need now is a family to call their own. Could that be you? 💕

💙 Stitch - Available to Adopt 💙

Say hello to Stitch, a 20-month-old French Bulldog looking for her forever home! 🐶

This giddy girl is full of personality – super friendly, playful, and always ready for a cuddle or a game.

🐶 Lives happily with another dog
🐱 Gets along with cats – she enjoys a bit of gentle playfighting!
👶 Lives with children aged 3+
🐾 Loves her walks – she gets excited and may pull a bit on the lead, and can bark at people or dogs from afar, but settles quickly when up close.

Stitch is still working on toilet training – she prefers to go in the garden, so will need a home where she has access to a garden most of the time 🧻

At the end of the day, Stitch adores snuggling up in her bed with a soft blanket. She’s the perfect mix of playful and affectionate 💞

If you're looking for a sweet, bouncy best friend with a whole lot of love to give, Stitch might be your girl! 🐶

We just wanted to update you about one of our hard working team who is taking a step back for what we hope is not forever!

Some of you will know Rachel Abbey as our vet co-ordinator (until she handed the reins over to Mairin last year). She has been a home checker, fosterer and a dog liaison officer (DLO) over the years too!

As well as her diligent approach to every job she has ever undertaken and her superb mentoring of new recruits, Rachel has been a calming and level headed influence on our team through some testing and turbulent times. We are very sad to lose her.

We wish her the absolute best and we hope she will pop in from time to time to assist us with any little volunteering jobs in the future.

📢📢 ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT 📢📢

Luna was dumped in Keighley town centre in March running in and out of traffic. We did manage to identify her owners and they signed her over.

Luna was very skinny, nervous and not used to a lead. Well, look at her now! Luna has gained weight and her coat is lovely and shiny.

Luna's fosterer, Vanessa, has spent the last few months working hard building Luna's confidence and putting some structure in her day to day life. Today, it was official - Luna wasn't going anywhere!

Have a fab life Luna! Thank you Vanessa for giving Luna a chance ❤️.
