Your dog is not just another appointment in the diary.
At Cosy Coat, I do not want grooming to feel rushed, noisy or overwhelming.

This launch is for owners who want a calmer, more personal experience for their dog.

One-to-one grooming, with time to help them settle, time to understand what they need, and time to make the appointment feel as comfortable as possible.

That also means I will not be packing the diary from morning to night.

Spaces are limited because calm grooming takes time.

Cosy Coat is located inside The D’oggie Groomer in Jarrow, with launch appointments now open.

If you would like your dog booked in, tap Learn More to view the FAQs and make an appointment.

Muddy paws.

Wet fur.

Happy dog.

That is usually a pretty good day in Molly’s world.

She loves being out, sniffing everything, getting filthy, and usually bringing half of it back home with her.

That is what dogs do.

They enjoy themselves first and worry about the mess later.

Cosy Coat is here for the clean-up afterwards.

This photo means a lot to us.

That’s Summer when she was tiny, with Sh**un on one side and Molly on the other.

Sh**un is sadly no longer with us, but he was always Summer’s protector. Calm, steady and always watching over her.

Molly has been different. She has been more like her furry mam. Always close, always involved, always making sure she is part of whatever is going on.

Dogs become such a big part of family life, don’t they?

They are there for the quiet moments, the chaos, the growing up, the changes, and all the little memories you do not realise will matter so much later.

That is a big part of why Cosy Coat exists.

Because dogs are never just dogs.

Saturday mornings with Molly are probably one of the only times Lee properly switches off.

Coffee in hand, fox red Labrador at his feet, and usually a small puddle of drool on the floor because Molly has spotted the biscuits before he has even sat down.

It is quiet. No rushing. No work. Just a bit of breathing space.

Although if Lee is left unsupervised for too long, the Amazon driver usually starts getting a few more orders than planned.

Molly is more about muddy walks, shedding hair and making herself comfortable wherever she likes.

But for lots of dogs, especially those with longer or fluffier coats, the week can disappear and suddenly the eyes are getting covered, the paws are fluffy, or little knots are starting behind the ears.

That is one of the reasons Cosy Coat offers weekend appointments, located inside The D’oggie Groomer in Jarrow.

Calm, one-to-one grooming that fits a bit more naturally around real life.

If your dog’s coat has got a bit harder to manage than you expected, please don’t beat yourself up.

It happens.

Some dogs get worried about grooming. And sometimes, life gets busy before you realise how much their coat has changed.

At Cosy Coat, you won’t be judged for asking for help.

Your dog will be treated with kindness, patience and care, and we’ll talk through what is best for them honestly and calmly.

Cosy Coat offers calm, one to one grooming from The D’oggie Groomer in Jarrow, with time to help your dog feel as settled as possible.

Your dog does not need to arrive perfect.

Too busy during the week to get your dog booked in?

You’re definitely not the only one.

Between work, kids, errands and everything else life throws at you, it’s easy for your dog to go from cute and fluffy to tiny hairy yeti before you know it.

That’s why Cosy Coat will be offering weekend grooming appointments.

They may be ideal if:

You struggle to get away during the week
You keep meaning to book but forget
You need something that fits around work or family
You want your dog looked after in a calmer, one-to-one environment
You prefer a more personal approach to grooming

I’ve made a quick Busy Dog Owner’s Weekend Grooming Guide to help you check if your dog might be due a groom and see how weekend appointments work.

Comment GUIDE and I’ll send it over.

This is Molly’s version of comfort.

Always close enough to be involved, paw exactly where she wants it, and making sure nobody forgets she is part of the family.

Dogs all have their own little ways of feeling safe and settled.

Some want cuddles. Some want reassurance. Some just want to be close to you. And some need a bit more time before they trust someone new.

That is something really important to me with Cosy Coat.

I never want grooming to feel rushed or overwhelming. I want it to feel calm, kind and personal for every dog that comes through the door.

Comfort first. Always.

I’d genuinely love to see your dog’s version of comfort, so feel free to add a photo in the comments if you have one.

When the pollen is high, some dogs really do feel it.

Our Molly often gets sore paws during allergy season, so I know how uncomfortable it can make them.

A few simple things like wiping paws after walks, brushing the coat and keeping bedding fresh may help.

If your dog is sore, red, itchy or keeps licking, it’s always best to speak to your vet.

At Cosy Coat, I care about comfort as well as keeping dogs looking their best.
