Something I'm really proud to share... our brand new website is finally live.

It's been a bit of a labour of love, and I wanted it to feel like Cosy Coat... calm, warm, and all about your dog. Have a nosy and you'll find a little about me and how I work, all the services and prices in one place, and a few stories from dogs I've loved grooming... including Scout & Skye, Scout who's blind and so trusting, and Skye who's always right by his side.

There are also some free guides you can download, from a puppy's first groom to keeping on top of matting between visits.

And if you'd like to book, just click "Book an appointment" and pick a time that suits you. No back and forth, no waiting to hear what's free... you can see what's available and book it there and then.

From the week commencing the 10th of August, all appointments will be at the new studio in South Shields.

Go and have a look, and let me know what you think... it would honestly mean a lot.

Beautiful Ivy had her very first groom with me today.

She’s 10 and had spinal surgery a few months ago, so she can’t stand for long periods of time. Before booking her in, I made sure I had full vet approval and the right setup ready for her.

I chose a specific support sling that matched Ivy’s comfort needs, so she could stay steady without putting any pressure on her spine. Her whole groom was adapted around her slow pace, gentle handling, and letting her settle in her own time.

She was an absolute sweetheart, relaxed, safe and supported from start to finish. Comfort is everything here at Cosy Coat, and Ivy showed just how well dogs thrive when the groom is built around what they need. 🌼

Day 2 of Cosy Coat Studio transformation.

Further prep today. Walls taped and sealed, one wall properly plastered, and the old tiles removed ready for new panelling where the bath will go.

Slow, steady progress, but every bit of it is moving us closer.

Hugo was in for his second groom with me today and honestly, he is just a little dream. His mam loves him fluffy, and his coat is in perfect condition to keep that gorgeous fullness.

And his colour, I'm not joking, I would pay a fortune for that hair colour. It's absolutely stunning in real life, that soft golden cream that just glows when he's finished.

He's also a total model dog. He poses, he watches everything, he gives you those big eyes, and he's got the most loving little soul. Handing him back after was actually hard, he's just that sweet.

We kept him tidy, fresh and natural, just how his mam likes him, and he left looking like a little cloud with legs. 💛

Daisy was in for her second groom, and honestly, I'm so proud of her.

She's not a fan of the dryer and she gets worried when anyone goes near her head or face, so we kept everything slow and calm, like always.

But today she surprised me. She let me do more on her legs, and even a little bit more around her face, such a big step for her.

She tried so hard, had little breaks when she needed them, and came back each time a bit braver.

She left looking tidy and comfy, but more than anything she left feeling proud of herself, and I was proud of her too. 💛

Day 1 at Cosy Coat Studio.

Today was all about stripping it right back. The old hair salon shelving and sinks are gone, wallpaper's off the walls ready for plastering tomorrow, and the power sockets have been taken out too.

It's not a pretty stage, if I'm honest. The car's absolutely full of rubbish ready for a tip run in the morning, and right now it looks more like a building site than a grooming studio.

But every bit of this is progress. Eight days until opening, and today we cleared the way for everything that comes next.

Click follow if you want to watch the transformation happen.
