As the weather warms up and grass starts seeding, it’s worth knowing that grass seeds can be a serious hazard for dogs.

These small, sharp seeds can get stuck in paws, ears, eyes, noses, and even burrow under the skin, causing pain, infection, and sometimes requiring veterinary treatment.

Signs to look out for:
🐾 Excessive licking of paws
🐾 Limping or swelling between toes
🐾 Head shaking or scratching at ears
🐾 Sudden sneezing or nose irritation
🐾 Red, watery, or squinting eyes

After walks, especially in long grass, take a few minutes to check your dog’s paws, ears, eyes, and coat.

A quick check could save your dog a lot of discomfort and an unexpected trip to the vet 🐶❤️
