These three gorgeous spaniels have now completed their Loose Lead Walking Classes, and what a pleasure they have been to work with!

Loose lead walking can be a real challenge for many spaniels, as there are simply so many exciting sights, smells and distractions to investigate! 🌿🐶

Their handlers have all put in fantastic effort, and it has been lovely to see the progress each team has made week by week. 👏

🐾Dilly & Basil the senior Cockapoos 🐾

Dilly and Basil came to see Leanne for 1-2-1 training.

Their humans were looking for help because Dilly was showing signs of anxiety and excessive barking, while Basil had started to ignore his recall. Both dogs also needed support with being calmer around visitors.

After taking my advice and discussing Dilly’s anxiety with their vet, Dilly had already made huge progress before our first session 👏

During the sessions, we focused on how our own behaviour can sometimes unintentionally encourage unwanted behaviours in our dogs. With a few simple changes from the humans, both dogs have continued to improve.

Basil’s recall is now getting much better too, thanks to a much tastier incentive for coming back than someone else’s picnic in the park! 🧺🐶😋

Well done Dilly, Basil and your humans for all your hard work! 🐾💛

🔊 Let's talk about a subject that no one ever wants to talk about.

🐶 Puppy blues......because puppies are hard work!

🥰 You spend months searching for the perfect dog, saving your pennies, excitedly buying new toys and beds (who knew a dog could have so many toys?), choosing the name, visiting the puppy before its 8 weeks. What an exciting and fun time you're having.

😱 Then the miniature shark comes home!

👉 Wee on the floor
👉 Poo on your favourite rug
👉 Teeth marks on the skirting boards
👉 Teeth marks on your hands/legs/face....
👉 Crying and barking if you leave
👉 Crying and barking if you don't leave
👉 Broken sleep
