"My dog is friendly"... 4 words which can cause panic for many dogs owners.
However friendly your dog is it is not good doggy etiquette/manners for them to run over to every dog they see - especially if the other dog is on a lead.
Whether the onlead dog is in training, reactive, fearful, recovering from illness/injury etc (the list of possibilities is a long one) they deserve space.
If you see a dog on lead then recall your dog, pop them on their lead and give the other dog space. If in doubt you can always speak to the other owner and find out the "lay of the land", it may be fine for your dog to say hello, it's polite to ask first though and could help keep YOUR dog safe.
No matter how eager your dog is to say hello his/her wishes do not take precedence over the wishes of another dog.
If your dog needs to brush up on their manners then it is not down to other dog owners and their dogs to "teach him a lesson" or "tell him off". It is your responsibility to manage your dog's behaviour and intervene & redirect if necessary.
Put yourself in the other person's shoes and just be kind & considerate. 😊❤️🐶

But there are many more dog friendly places out there, but they can't make our list unless you recommend them!
