Easter Season Reminder = Chocolate Poisoning!

Remember to keep chocolate away from pets, here are some scary facts to think about with chocolate and your pets…

🍫 Milk & Dark chocolate is toxic to dogs because it contains theobromine, which dogs can't metabolize as well as humans.

🍫 The severity of chocolate poisoning depends on the size of the dog, the amount of chocolate consumed, and the cocoa content of the chocolate. ( dark chocolate is the most poisonous!)

🍫 Symptoms of chocolate poisoning in dogs can include vomiting, diarrhea, increased heart rate, hyperactivity, and seizures.

🍫 Even small amounts of milk chocolate can be harmful to small dogs.

🍫 If you suspect your dog has eaten milk chocolate, it's important to contact your veterinarian.
Delayed treatment if your pet ingests chocolate can be fatal so please contact your vet ASAP if your pet eats chocolate! 🐾
