Tuesday's troops. Alright, i take it back. Maybe Murphy's sun dance actually worked 😂 Roasting even first thing this morning, as you'll see from all the ham slices hingin' oot. The sweltering heat didn't stop Jasper diving about like a loony, so in the end I had to put him on lead for his own good 🙈 And Bailey did eventually find a ball, only it was 2 minutes before it was time to leave. Sad times.
Spent a lot of time in the shade next to the big puddle with the Brute squad, seemed like the best place for them. They may be dirty but at least it kept them cool 🤣 Despite the heat they still thought it was a good idea to run about daft for a bit, Willow was not happy when I got them to stop after a couple of minutes. Absolute gobsh*te.
Thought I'd be clever and go up to Backmuir and stay in the shade for the afternoon but no, was still far too hot by then. We stuck around for a bit and got a wee circuit in but it was not much fun for them 🥵 Plenty of water and biscuits made it more bearable, I'm sure. Was that hot Mac couldn't even be bothered going mad at squirrels. A few barks is all they got.

Monday's moochers. So, you thought summer was finally here after that weekend? Wrong! Yet another false start. At least if the fog and drizzle the day was anything to go by. No dancing from Murphy on the morning patrol today, think he's just given up trying to summon the sun. Don't blame him 😂 At least there were plenty of squirrels around for Skye and Kaya to go mental about.
More Monday mayhem at lunchtime. Tucker and Cosmo's new bromance continued, chasing each other about in circles, as you do 🤪 They were keen on getting the rest of them involved. Buddy was up for it, Luna and Ruby less so. They had important mooching to do, after all.
Off round the farm to finish off the day amd this time it was Mac's turn to play slow-coach. Got a bit of a sore paw, bless him. No doubt from being a lunatic at the weekend 🤣 He managed fine, just wasn't going particularly fast. Hasn't impaired his mooching ability anyway, plenty of opportunity to hone those skills while the rest of them were rolling about in wet grass.

Friday's footerers. Well, some fine capers with the morning patrol, with Jasper trying his best to wind up Skye up. Luckily Kaya was on hand (or paw) with a stick to distract him 😂 She's a clever girl, makes my life at work significantly easier. Well, most of the time. As for Barney? He was minding his own business as usual, sniffing around and keeping a weather eye out for squirrels is important work.
More nonsense at lunchtime. Bailey could only manage to find half a tennis ball but he did it within about 3 seconds. So that was him sorted. Mac was behaving himself, not a deer in sight for a change. Willow on the other hand, well she ran off into the trees with a new pal, only to reappear in someone's garden (sorry) on the other side of an 8ft fence 🙈 Didn't have to ask how she managed it cos when I shouted on her to come back, she just vaulted over it. Mystery solved.
Thought I might have another day without getting rained on but it was not to be. Some very soggy doggies after a wander about the farm. Thankfully, that was the only thing didn't go our way. No wildlife or farm cat related shenanigans and just for a change, there was very little rolling in the dirt 🤣 Anyway, that's me for the week folks, enjoy your weekend!

Thursday's squad. It's somebody's birthday today 🎂 No mine, Kaya's. That's right, the bonnier face of Inverhowlie Rovers turns 6 today. She doesn't know that of course but she was still thrilled with a change of scene this morning and some time chasing sticks around the woods. Barney meanwhile was still nose to the ground, while Murphy was still desperately trying to get the sun to make an appearance.
The usual lunchtime chaos with the Brute squad. Buddy was along again, so he got ragdolled by Willow twice in one week, lucky him 🤣 To be fair, abody got it. She's definitely on one at the moment. Bear was busy looking for the deer again but that didn't last cos he kept getting harassed into playing, so sometimes Willow being demented is a good thing.
The Extreme Fetch league continued as we finished off the day. Despite it being Kaya's birthday, they didn't let her win. Poor sports, I know 😂 Lolly was today's winner but only just, Mac and Kaya hounded her all the way. It's not all bad news for Kaya though, she got home from work to be presented with a big box full of animal bits by the bairn, so she was happy.

Wednesday's wanderers. Well, the start of the day did not bode well. Weather wise I mean, grey and miserable. As luck would have it though we had Murphy on hand to try and get his magic sun dance working today. Wee Skye was lending a hand too 🤣 Or mebbe she was just trying to get biscuits...
The magic sun dance worked, nice and sunny by lunchtime, so we've all got Murphy to thank for that. So there was a fair bit of tomfoolery in the sunshine. Reckon Benson definitely prefers inspecting other Labrador's lugs, poor Max 🙈 In between running around daft that is. And seriously, what's with all the damn deer? Had to put Luna on lead otherwise I would never have got her back. Wee lamb.
Stuck to the shade for the last walk, was a bit on the warm side for them. Well, for Bella anyway. The usual antics, a lot of rolling about in the dirt and of course a power of mooching 😂 And of course Mac's classic rendition of 'Barking my head off at squirrels'. Doesn't sell as well as he'd like.

Tuesday's troublemakers. Starting off with the morning patrol, where Bailey had great fun whacking Kaya in the butt as he ran past with a moothful of sticks 🙈 Don't think Kaya was as amused. Meanwhile, Murphy was still trying his best to summon the sun with his dance moves. Sadly, it didn't work.
Everyone was getting it at lunchtime with the Brute squad, Willow was on one again. I mainly got left in peace, well, aside from her being a gobsh*te again 🤣 Poor Bear was absolutely puggled, fell asleep in the van on the way home. At least Willow being mental kept him from noticing all the deer that were all over the place.
A but more of a civilised affair to finish the day. Well, mooching is civilised, right? I'm not sure going bonkers every time you see a squirrel is though, eh Mac? 😂 And trying to mooch oreos off a random passerby DEFINITELY isn't *cough* Jasper *cough* To be fair Kaya had a crack at that too. Can't take them anywhere...

Monday's moochers. Hurray! A rain free day! A pretty slow day though, naebody was in any rush, especially on the morning patrol. Apart from Kaya that is, she was having a grand ol' time chasing sticks and running about like a daftie. Kept her amused while the rest of them sniffed the same bit of grass for 5 minutes 😂 Even Skye wasn't in a rush, practically unheard of.
OK, so I might have lied a bit. Me and Luna weren't in a rush but the boys were giving it laldie at lunchtime. Everyone's lugs got a good licking from Cosmo as they chased each other around in circles for pretty much the whole hour 🤪 Must be good for the soul though, they all seemed very happy about it.
Back to the farm and back to a sedate pace for the last walk of the day. Daimon's an auld manny now and he can't go very fast for long. Think the rest of them were glad of the pace anyway, getting warm (for a change) and there's no shade out there. Of course that meant Nala had plenty of energy for rolling about, tangling everyone's legs up in leads and generally being a menace 🤣

Friday's footerers. Well, sad times on the morning patrol. Had to say goodbye to wee Josh for a while, little fella is terrified if everything at the moment. Thought it was separation anxiety but his owner was along again this morning and he was still cowering, tail tucked in and just not having a good time. Hopefully we'll see him back in the future. Meanwhile, the rest if the squad had a good wander, not a very fast wander mind 😂 Probably just enjoying the sun and actual warmth for a change.
Friday lunchtime, so you know what that means. Yup, Mac being a big mooch, Bailey with a mooth full of sticks and Willow being a massive gobsh*te, demanding I play tug of war with a stick 🙈 Only this time Luna was along for the ride. She joined in with Mac being a mooch for a bit, then had a crack at the old tug of war herself.
Finished off the week with the old trek round the fields. Yup, still windy. But it was a warm(ish) wind so it's fine. Bit warm for big, hairy doggos, so we did not go very fast at all. Still had plenty of energy for barging each other out of the way to get at the water though 🤣 Anyway, that's me for the week folks, enjoy your weekend!

Wednesday's wanderers. Managed to dodge the rain today, was only raining when I was driving. Get in. A slightly fraught walk around Templeton to start the day off, trying to keep them all out of the muddy puddles. Largely successful. Ish 😂 Not nearly as successful at keeping Murphy, Marley and Jasper from capering every 2 minutes and tying abody in knots though.
Bit of a pickle at lunchtime, Wee Josh has developed a crippling case of separation anxiety recently. Compare the photo of him today to the photos of him from yesterday morning (when his owner was there) and you'll see what I mean. Poor wee man 🥺 Luna and Jasper got cracking on anyway, Luna found a ball which caused great excitement. Then promptly lost it 5 minutes later on one of her adventures. Easy come, easy go.
A fine and sunny end to the day, having a nice wander about the woods. With plenty of stops for rolling in the dirt and of course, mooching 🙈 A power of mooching. Never one to miss an opportunity to cause mayhem, Nala saw her chance when I was dishing out the water and managed to slip away. Didn't go very far mind, just ran about in circles with Kaya for a few minutes 🤣 Didn't take long to get her back.
