This bank holiday was adventure time for me and Pip, as we took on the "Dragon's Back" in the Peak District. This popular hiking route comprises the striking limestone peaks of Chrome Hill and Parkhouse Hill, which resemble a dragon's spiky back when viewed from below.

Starting and finishing in the picturesque village of Longnor, our 15.6km route also included the peaks of Hollins Hill and High Wheeldon, earning us a slice of cake from a cafe when we eventually made it back!

Here are a few snaps from the dog show we attended at the weekend, to help raise money for Yappy Ever After Dog Rescue. Thankfully the forecast thunderstorms never came, which meant we got to meet so many beautiful dogs, and talk to their owners about our food!

Say hello to Tide, an 8 week old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, who has just become the latest customer of the Healthy K9 Pack!

Chessie's are similar in size and appearance to Labradors, but have a distinctly wavy coat. As you can see in the pictures, Tide is at an age where he couldn't get enough of my fingers! 😅

Hip, Hip, Hurrah! It's Syttende Mai (17th May), which is the day when Norwegians everywhere celebrate their Nasjonaldagen (National Day). Big parades will be taking place all over Norway today, and people will be eating pølse (hot dogs), vafler (waffles) and iskrem (ice cream).

We will be celebrating later with far too many sweets, and indulging in a guilty pleasure.... Eurovision! 🇳🇴🎶

Without a doubt, the best part of this job is the people and dogs I get to meet every day. What's even better is when one of those dog's is one of Pip's brothers, Kobi! These two look so alike, that if it wasn't for Pip's white blaze, I might have ended up taking the wrong dog home!

Lots of you have been asking how Pip has been getting on since her operation last week, and I'm pleased to report she is doing great! Our vet is very satisfied with how she is healing, so yesterday we walked her a little bit further and she even had a some time off her lead. The weather was even good enough for an ice cream afterwards! 😎

So after the 5th time of trying (phantom pregnancies are the bane of my existence!), Pip was finally spayed today. Thank you to all the staff at Ambivet Veterinary Group for taking such good care of our girl, who is safely home and doing well, although obviously very tired and groggy 🥹❤️

Happy Easter everyone! 🐣🐰

Me and Pip decided to get up early today and head into the Peak District for an adventure! Starting from Edale, we headed north to Kinder Scout and Kinder Low, then across to Swine's Back, before joining the Pennine Way and heading to the summit of Mam Tor. We then followed the Great Ridge to Barker Bank and descended back into Edale, to complete our 20km adventure!

Needless to say we are both shattered, but thoroughly enjoyed our Easter Sunday in the sun ❤
