I’m back! Thanks so much for your patience while I took a short break. I’m refreshed, recharged, and ready to get your dogs their favourite food!

This is Rubiol, my friend’s dog, who kept me company over the weekend to make sure I didn’t miss Pip too much! 🥹

Just a quick heads-up that Healthy K9 will be closed on Friday 27th February and will reopen on Tuesday 3rd March.

After looking back on last year, I realised that - aside from Christmas - I only took three days off all year. As much as I love what I do, it’s important for me to take a short break so I can recharge and continue giving you and your dogs the best possible service. I’ve taken Pip’s advice on this one… as you can see from the photo, she’s an expert at taking it easy!

With plenty of notice, I hope this gives everyone time to stock up on anything your dog may need in advance.

Don't forget our Charity Christmas Dog Walk is taking place tomorrow, Sunday 14th December! Starting from Cromford Wharf Car Park (DE4 3RQ) at 10am, the weather is forecast to be dry, so me and Pip hope to see you there! 🐾

I'm not quite sure where this year has gone, but it's that time again to let you know that Healthy K9 will be closing for Christmas on Tuesday 23rd December and reopening on Monday 5th January 2026.

I must also let you know that unfortunately the New Year will bring with it a small price change, details of which can be found on our website. It's always frustrating when prices change, but thankfully we've been able to keep these to a minimum, whilst still offering the same excellent quality and service our customers have come to expect from Healthy K9.

We're not done with 2025 quite yet, as our Christmas charity dog walk is less than 2 weeks away! Taking place on Sunday 14th December at 10am, we'll be walking a flat route along Cromford Canal in aid of 'Miles for Marley,' with a cake stop half way! (more details of this event in the post below this one)

Lastly, here is the obligatory picture of Pip, ignoring the rising sun over The Roaches this past weekend, in favour of the treats in my pocket!

Thank you for everyone's support this past year, as many of you know it's been a challenging one personally, but to see so many happy, healthy and well-fed dogs each day makes it all worthwhile 🐾

Grab your favourite Christmas jumper, and join me and Pip for a charity Christmas dog walk!

This year we’re walking for Marley, a brave little girl from Derby who is currently fighting a high-risk, Stage 3 Wilms Tumour, which is a rare form of kidney cancer. All money raised will be donated to ‘Miles for Marley,’ which aims to support Marley and her family as they seek alternative treatments for the illness overseas.

Starting at Cromford Wharf Car Park (DE4 3RQ) and heading along Cromford Canal towards Whatstandwell, the 10km ‘out-and-back’ route is totally flat, with a planned cafe stop halfway at The Family Tree for coffee… and cake! Each participating dog will receive a free bag of training treats from Healthy K9, plus a handmade participation gift, and there will also be a prize for best dressed dog and owner!

Participants will be able to make cash and card donations on the day, but if you’re unable to make the walk and would still like to contribute, donations can be made to the Miles for Marley JustGiving page below (please reference ‘charity dog walk,’ so Marley’s family can keep track of where donations are coming from).
