Hugo update…it’s nearly 7 months since his splenectomy and he recently had an abdominal scan and there was no sign of cancer….hes still loving his little walks and going great guns so I’m hopeful I’ll have his company for a good while longer…that being said I’m still keeping grooming on the back burner for now…I want to have every spare minute I have with him and the rest of my family ###

So this weekend we have been to the seaside…Hugo has swam in the sea, had fish and chips and devoured ice cream in the sunshine…perfect! 👌🏻 🩵 🌞 🌊 ### he is now a very tired little boy!

So in a 24 hour period I managed to break the lock on the van door so I had to bungee myself in at night, followed by setting the Cadac on fire and nearly my neighbours awning and then ran over my gas lighter…but worth every dramatic second because Hugo had a ball and I wasn’t working🩵 💙….just a couple more jobs for Daddy O then…😂

Hugo update. He is getting stronger everyday and we are now able to go out for walks….the vet has said we can resume normal activity…currently he is presenting as fit and well. I will post pics of all he gets up to over the coming months ###x thank you for all the well wishes, very much appreciated!###x

Diary of a Dog Groomer

My name is Claire. Four years ago whilst sat at home with my own furbaby Cocker Spaniel Hugo I thought about how wonderful it would be to be able to work with dogs. After extensive research I chose to train and obtain an international grooming qualification. I am therefore a member of good standing with IPG/ICMG. I am IPG qualified and adhere to the high standards in which they set. I am CPD accredited in Dog First Aid and Emergency Canine Care. I am fully insured. I have found dog grooming to be immensely satisfying and take time over detail. I treat each dog with the highest care as if it were my own on a one to one basis. Welfare is paramount. I strive to keep up to date with the latest techniques and attend frequent training days wherever possible.

I have a purpose built log cabin which is both heated during the winter and cool fan assisted throughout the summer.

I use only vegan friendly sensitive natural shampoos and keep a selection of Millys, Paw Naturel, Hownd and Bugalugs dependant on breed and coat condition.
